there is nothing wrong with supporting your coach hoping he does well and then as we spiral into the worst 2 seasons of football ever deciding he should be fired. that's life as a fan being negative about a new coach is judt kinda silly atleast be on his side till it goes badly.

And that’s where this board devolved into hogville. People here confuse supporting a coach and WANTING him to succeed with being a hugger and called names. There is no in between with some people. Despite the narrative here I wasn’t super excited with Bielema or Morris but did want them to succeed. Bert lost me after the Mizzou and Belk Bowl losses, Morris after SJSU. No matter who we hire I’ll support them, so I guess I can prepare to be called a hugger or whatever hilarious insult people come up with.

Sure but then the seeds of recriminations are sown when someone rightfully points out when the coach is pulling bullshite moves, and displaying his incompetence for the world to see, but gets shouted down and called those same names.
You can’t really expect the people who were calling bullshite on Chavis when he was hired, to not remember the giant shite the board took on them for saying so. You can’t expect those who were sounding the alarm about Chad early on to forget about his supporters here being pricks to them.

It’s a fricking message board. If people are that hard up for validation from anonymous people on the internet then I feel sorry for them. I honestly DGAF if I’m right or wrong tbh, ive moved on, you guys want to live in the past for a few back pats then go ahead.

I didn’t start this thread. I’m simply saying that many of the same folks tired of taking shite about supporting Morris, had no problem dishing out shite on the folks calling bullshite early on. Like you said, it’s a message board. Expect to get back what you give in spades.

I’ll ask you what I asked STLHog (who still hasn’t shown me), show me a thread where I (Or hell anyone) talked shite to people or called them names for hating Morris? Some of you people create false narratives out of thin air just because someone supports a coach. It’s Hogville-esque.

I’m not trying to single you out, and I’m not going to go back and look up threads. What I can tell you, is that after the Chavis hire, I just stayed away from this board, because it was obvious that anyone not drinking the kool-aid was subject to being shite-talked, called names, the works.
So when it turns to shite, you have to expect those who took a load of shite, to have plenty to return.

We are remembering differently, seems like most either didn’t like the Chavis hire or skeptical, especially after Morris promised to hire the best DC in the country.

On chavismo I was simply trying to find a thread of hope. As hog fans we have to choose to seek silver linings or simply find another team or something else to invest our time and funds in. Lordy mercy it is time for something good to happen in football

Yes we are. I could go back and bump some old threads, but I became persona non grata around here at that time, along with a few others. I got shite talked every time a decent recruit came along, and our defense didn’t look like absolute dogshit. Didn’t last too long though...
