I have started a post four times today and deleted...

I'm just not sure if I need to post some of what I heard...
This is the crappiest situation we have been in, in years .. and we have had a bunch of em.
I have heard that on Sirius xm sports... It Is being reported that CBB is out after the game on Saturday with a loss.
Then I have had meals the past few days with some folks, one who is in Arkansas media (don't guess, I wont tell you) one who is related to a member of the BOT, and another that has a suite at RRS...
What did they say... ??? Nothing of significance, because they are all saying different things. It is crazy.
One is saying the GM is definitely who they will go after, although he is very much against it. His reasoning is solid but has nothing to do with on the field results. It has more to do with how GM treats people, how he is all about Gus and no one else matters unless it is all about Gus. Several personal stories involving GM were shared. I may get in to some of those later, but don't have time right now.
The media person is NOT a fan of CBB for sure, but also not of GM and would like to see us go the Norvell/Frost route. Someone of that nature.
One is believing that Long is gone, another say's NO WAY. I have never seen such lack of pertinent information and how strange it is.
One story I believe and will share is this.
Supposedly CBB was told he is gone if something positive doesn't happen, and soon. He begged for one more year with this group of folks, gave his reasoning and promised to make some changes, believing that his days of coaching are close to done if he doesn't succeed in some sense while here. He doesn't want to leave and was willing to cut some assistants, bring in a few advisers etc. Even to the point of taking a cut in pay. Now... what happens from this is a guess. I think he is gone period. But with the report on Sirius today coming from someone with a source in the NFL who say's CBB has reached out to some NFL teams as an assistant, etc... I don't know what to think.
I really though I would have more after this weekend, but I don't. Some of you may blow this off and think it is nothing, and that is your right. But what I have written is a bunch of nothing
which sucks.
Has anyone else heard the report on Sirius?

Bielema needs to take a break and get his life in order. He will get a nice check from us and he should have enough money to take at least a year break.
His health is horrible. He has a family to worry about now. He needs to do whatever he can to get his weight under control and to get his alcohol intake reduced.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I’m not a fan of telling others how to live their life but he definitely looks like shite right now. I was blown away on Saturday with how bad he looks. He probably needs to step away for a year or so no matter what happens on our end.

I've definitely heard that he's (CBB) put the feelers out to start early on a possible landing spot, this supposedly started a couple weeks ago around the time I had first posted it here. I think he would stay if it were left solely up to him but there's still a feeling that he could possibly want out on his own accord.
At least some of the assistants have reached out as well, but this started a little more recently. This may be the ones that CBB has told they won't be here next year if he's retained or just assistants seeing the writing on the wall and expecting the whole staff to be let go; personally I'm not sure which. Razorback fans can at least take solace in the fact that Kurt Anderson will 100% be gone next year no matter what.
Either everyone I know is extremely biased and it causes them to see it in their own way or everyone's running with different stories concerning Malzahn, because all I keep hearing is "untouchable." I think there's some wishcasting getting mixed in with truth out there somewhere and it slowly makes the rounds and turns into "reality." I'm sure this applies to what I hear just as much as those hearing the opposite.
I've never been too keyed in on Long's overall job status and if he could possibly be fired, that's kinda where my people's connections meet their limits. Some have heard things from other folks that would know the truth, but none have their hands directly in that area to be 100% sure of anything. It's also been noted several times that any details surrounding JL's status have been kept unusually quiet.
The general info that they're hearing is that he's on a very short leash but there's nothing quantifiable saying "you're fired if ______ happens" on the table.
It sounds to me like they're in wait-and-see mode while JL is in a sort of probationary period, but it's hard to even imagine a timeline or outcome that they're waiting for to pass judgement. You'd assume it's the whole FB coach situation, but at what point in the near future do they determine pass or fail and how do they determine it?
There's no results forthcoming regarding the expansion they could be waiting on as a pass/fail (at least that I'm aware of), that's already all been aired out. Only other possibility is something big we don't know about or yet to come out in the pipeline, regardless it seems they expect to have an answer at least fairly soon.

I don't doubt what you're saying about BB exploring other options. But realistically, who would consider him after crashing and burning here? I think he may be overestimating his value to think someone would take a chance on him unless it's a mid-major who's already in a tailspin and he's willing to work on the cheap.
