Maybe Pigfeet or someone can explain to me why next year is supposed to be the year we"make a run".

We lose Hannahs and Kingsley and Watkins who has been a key player for us of late. And we don't lose Cook who sucks.

We replace that with the sixth best class in the SEC and somehow next year is the year?

Don't see it.

Plus with MA's record of retaining quality players with eligibility, I wouldn't expect both Macon and Barford to return.

Cook doesnt suck and is great depth. Thomas kinda sucks.

Dusty and Manny have been great hogs but honestly arent players we should be worried about losing.

Just gotta hope gafford adjusts quickly and trey doesnt get hurt or regresses.

I know nothing about macon or barfords situations, but i doubt they get evaluated into draftable positions and both should play out their elgibility. And if babb and the other kid leaving opened the door for the jucos, id say we came out ahead in the end.

Watkins and Hannahs are twice the player that Cook and Thomas are. Thompson has improved, but a front line of Cook, Thompson, and Thomas would be one of the weakest in basketball if they don't make major strides in the off season.

Gifford should be great but you can't expect the world as a freshman. Hall could be under rated by the services.

We're always having to hope that aren't we? Football included.

Watkins and hannahs dont play PF. So im not sure what the comparison is for.

Holy hyperbole. None of those needs "major strides." Bailey has been close to significantly cracking the rotation as well. And Gafford will slot in fine.

We have players who can pick up the offensive production graduating. Manny has been solid and stepped up his senior year, but lets not act like hes a program changing player. Neither is dusty.

Hall, Garland, Beard, and Jones. Two or three of those guys will have to emerge as contributors. And Macon and Barford just take over the offense a little more.

Its not like last year where everyone leaves and the squad resets. Theres a core foundation now, barring the jucos leaving early.
