Completely dominated tonight. Sometimes by 3 man fronts. Even if you were a shite recruiter you should still be able to land a few serviceable starters. We are trash.

There's no excuse. At a base we should be recruiting guys that can beat lines like San Jose State after one offseason camp. shite tier coaching is the only answer.

Apparently there is more to the whole coaching thing than being able to coach in Texas 5A football.

Hogs' OL coach had never coached (other than as a GA) until Chad hired him at SMU?

That would be my guess.

Still in the hole from the Pittman quitting recruiting and leaving mess.
Having to start a true freshman that is very promising, but extremely rare are the true freshman who can be expected to play D1 ball. Jackson not a great tackle, but having him out tonight did not help. Winkel having to come in didn't help.
Even as shaky as our Oline is though, they weren't the reason for the 5 INT's.

They were a major, major factor. Both in the running and passing game.

yes they were. Stark was getting his bell rung way too often and became gun shy with the passes.

I'd say it was the opposite. He got used to having no time to make reads so even when he did have time he'd force into tiny or nonexistent holes. The decision-making is on him 100%, but he didn't just start that way. Towards the end of the game I think he just got into the wrong mindset and wanted to make everything up with one play and got in trouble trying to do too much.
