Once Odom learned he could blitz because prevent defense doesn’t work for us, our D has gotten watchable. Just imagine if he figured that out for OM/Auburn.

I don’t have links, but I seem to recall the biggest bitch Missouri fans had of Odom was he consistently played soft zone defense.

Briles gets super conservative before the half with 2 minutes or less and super conservative at the end of games. Annoying as hell.
I really have no way of knowing but I suspect this is part of the game plan, and not just Briles going rogue.

I would bet this is part of the Sam Pittman yelling run run run in the mic, like he has said he does multiple times in press conferences.
He has even said he has yelled it before and then looked over and Kendall had his headphones off and it was a pass play.

It makes sense in a way. We've been a team for years that beats ourselves before the other team even has a chance to. I get Pittman wanting to be conservative, but it feels like we're turning the corner and should be letting the offense loose at this point.

but if you knew anything except being a little count, you'd know that playing more zone versus more man is a week to week game plan decision
