Missing on Kiffin is yet another in a long line of colossal frickups when it comes to our coaching searches. Should have laid that man whatever he wanted and a little more for good measure.

Between this and Chad, I'm basically done with Hog football. Like I said in another topic, I haven't been excited for Arkansas football since preseason 2016. Basketball and baseball are actually worth watching.

It's not even that we suck, it's that I'm tired of watching the people in charge not care that we suck. At this point, I'm not convinced it's even apathy; we seem to be constantly sabotaged by a double agent posing as a U of A employee.

The basketball team is built for another deep run. Of course, this means we'll have a first round exit, but after the last two years, I can hardly complain.

Welcome to Arkansas sports. Try 50+ years of it. None of what's happening is new and has been witnessed for as long as I can remember no matter the coach. Fire this one and hate the next one? Cool I guess. Sam wants it as bad as we do and though he peaked too early I'm willing to ride with him.

But I'm a Hog no matter what.

We were actually good throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Frank brought us to the respect we have today, Lou Holtz took Frank's talent to the orange bowl and kicked butt but petered out, Ken Hatfield kicked butt in a weak SWC but couldn't beat the big boys with his offense and left when he was asked to throw the damn ball.

Then we moved to the SEC where you play a bowl team nearly every week, we knew it was going to be brutal but getting away from texas was worth it.

The SWC couldn't hold a candle to the conference we're in now, no comparison.

Look back at the SWC and the teams we played and their records, smooth sailing to at least 8 wins. We used to predict records at work and 9 wins was pretty much the normal pick during the Hatfield years.

I'd rather grind it out here than be in that craphole big12, at least having a good year here means something.

Ever since joining the SEC the administration has not made the commitment to football relative to other SEC schools. Look at the hires they made and it shows the lack of care.

I gave up my season tickets back in 2016 when Bert pissed away two double digit leads in the Missouri and Tech games. Long made excuses instead of firing fat bastard from Austin Powers. So if an AD doesn't care about competing and wants me to give my money and so just to flush it down the toilet then hell no I'm done with this shite.

The only times I go now if my cousin can't go and sells tickets to me. But last Saturday I got tickets from Edward Jones and it was in the upper level. It was the worst college experience I ever had and it had nothing to do with the game. It was so bad that my dad told me he was never coming to an Arkansas game again.

It is sad how how people with money and power screwed up a once respected program. Now it is a joke and bottom feeder in the SEC. Don't think so? Look at the all time SEC record and it will change your mind.

The difference between Arkansas and other programs is that our boosters and power brokers don’t know jack shite about football, care more about access than winning, and don’t want to do what is necessary to be competitive in this league.

We have mouthpiece dipshits like Irwin and Wally who still refer to paying players as “cheating” when there’s no such thing anymore with NIL.

We’ve fricked the dog on so many coaching hires and non-firings. We hire bad candidates, the wrong candidates, and let mediocrity go on too long.

We still talk about the glory years of the 60s through the 80s like they weren’t 40+ years ago.

We play home games in Dallas and Little Rock. We give up two games in Fayetteville next year because of that.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again — the rest of the college football world will stop looking at us as an unserious small time program when we stop acting like one.

Arkansas was consistently good under Broyles, Holtz and Hatfield. Those coaches are a lot better than what Arkansas has hired since joining the SEC. Fans want to make excuses and not fix the problem and that is coaching.

No reason Arkansas can't win 7-9 games a year with some years good enough to win an SEC and actually win it. The difference between the coaches before 1992 and after 1992 is the ones before took advantage when the stars aligned unlike the ones after who wasted it repeatedly.

I "lectured you" one time in your estimation.

There were times in the past that you actually apologized for your actions and targeted me in the post.

I thought you were genuine in those few posts in the past.

So, sure... No lecturing. When one is not willing to consider another's point of view..(Either party). Waste of time. But this thread wasn't about me at all. Thanks for thinking of me?????

my actions

I apologized for language in the past, and I'm not going to reapologize for it

Half of our fanbase and most of our boosters are pathetic, and so that statistically would include half on this board

"Hey guys, we fricking suck" is amazingly accurate as a fanbase on here

fans too stupid to realize the difference between the hiring and production of terrible coaches versus the hiring and production of the guy who's fixing their fricking mess
