The shooting and scoring drought concern me as much as anything.
Same thing the last few years away from home, can't hit the broad side of a barn and go 6+ minutes without scoring.
Luckily USA was terrible and had about 12 unforced turnovers, nor could they hit pretty open looks.

So it was lack of execution by USA as opposed to good defense that cost them?

Ultimate,
Before the game you said regarding USA:
Are you changing your story? Is USA good or not?
I see a Hog team that underperformed and still won by double digits. Like you said, former Hog teams would have lost.
Before the game you said regarding USA:

They're still pretty good, don't let the record fool you they've just played a tough schedule and hung in there in every game.

If we show up like teams of past and play like dog shite in Verizon, we will lose.

Mostly, yes.
They had many many open 3's and didn't hit them, as well as some good shots from the 10-15 range and didn't convert.
We played some good defense at times, but they also just shot horribly even with good looks, especially from 3.

I mean we could be a team that was picked preseason #1 and struggle against Belmont at home
Every team has slumps against inferior teams...but we haven't had a bad loss yet like we have in the past

They were awful tonight. Looked worse than SMU, ULL.

Thanks. I was pleased to see we had 8 blocks - we've had a bunch over the last several games.

Oh ok. Just making sure you weren't simply overreacting after a loss...wait sorry, win.

Yeah, we alter a ton of shots down low like we never have before.
Bell/Wade are going to have to step up and knock down some outside shots if we're going to do shite on the road.
Bell has went cold since about two weeks into the season and Qualls has cooled off lately as well. Wade has been off all year but finally hit one tonight and played almost the whole second half so maybe he gets going.

How so? I said USA is "pretty good" based off their schedule/results.
They were absolutely awful tonight.
Get off my nuts.

No, we were pretty awful tonight, they were just that much worse.
The way we played tonight looked about like most road games over the last few years, nothing encouraging at all.
Awful shooting? Check.
8+ minute scoring drought? Check.
Bunch of fouls? Check.
Plenty of open shots for other team? Check.

Perhaps we are good but played bad tonight...
Hang in there. I got a feeling the next game will be the high point of the season.

I could buy that if we weren't 2-30 away from BWA the last 3 years.
This team still has a long long ways to go, and tonight wasn't even a road game, had 10K cheering them on.
Expectations need to be kept realistic, I thought we said before the season we weren't getting our hopes up until we win some road games? Wtf happened to that?

Oh is it 3-30? We did win one in Maui this year I forgot, plus the 2 road wins the last 2 years at Auburn.
My bad.

It's hard to wait until the end of January to know whether this team is decent and can win on the road.

I tend to exaggerate to get the point across.
However, I bet our record away from BWA actually is quite close to 3-30. We beat Alabama A&M in Verizon last year so off the top of my head that's 5 wins between Auburn twice, one in Maui, and 2 at Verizon.
Can't remember any other wins away from BWA the last 3 years off the top of my head.
