Football players complain they don't have enough money..

Practically everyone I know complains about not having enough money regardless of how good of a job they have. Of course college kids are going to.

Hell, I didn't have enough money (I thought) either when I was on scholarship at college. But thinking back, I always had a roof over my head and food to eat, and was getting 'free' education.

ETA: And I know they are eating a hell of a lot better than I did, and probably have nicer digs.

(And yes, I know how much money the athletic department is raking in because of the football program.)

That was nine years ago. Even if they are still the price that they were nine years ago..The same remains true, when I was in school there was no way I could afford to buy a dog for $300 and I had a job while in college. But they say they need more money...How about they spend it wisely?

I had a job in college and had no trouble buying a $350 dollar dog. Everyone's situation is different.

Honestly, I question more why folks that are as busy with football and social lives like these guys get a dog. It's not really fair to the pup because they aren't going to be around much.
