"It's baseball. It's a crazy game...I feel like we played as hard as we could...that's just the way it ended up,"

Not sure where you even go from here. Getting to tonight and losing to their ace when we have no pitching left is an entirely different outcome than what just transpired.

I feel terrible for the team. Dave’s nerves are contagious. You could feel it through the TV. Someone else may have mentioned it but he should have been going to the mound every batter to remind the guys what the plans are and calming them down.

I get it, guys have to make plays but he clearly can’t handle the pressure and make decisions accordingly. Pretty shocking interview from him and don’t love his lack of accountability in the whole mess. Just sat in the dugout like a nervous nancy crossing his fingers.

I’m speechless and for some reason this almost feels worse than 2018.

I’m sorry but it’s time for new blood in the program. No chance it happens but we all really need to move on, DvH included.

So, make a list of names. Many want DVH gone so replacements are easy.

List 6+

You cannot do that. When you are on offense, you are only allowed 6 mound visits per game. Just ask O'Sullivan at Florida about that rule from a few years back in the CWS when he had to pull one of his best pitchers unexpectedly.

What is the significance of 6+?

TV
McDonnell
Schnall
Heefner
Johnson
Godwin

Lots of Lemonis feelings out there after TV so I’ll stand down.

I thought we only had 4 at that point.Guess the rule is actually 4, not 6.

My mistake and won’t spend anymore time second guessing, doesn’t matter.

It was getting up there with the trips made throughout the game. I was more just responding to your comment about making a trip out before every batter. It just isnt possible.

What struck me most about the Aloy decision, was we had a mound visit just before that play. I would bet almost any amount of money that turning two and getting out of the inning was discussed, but for whatever reason Aloy went to third. I still do not understand what happened there.

I think he brain farted and thought 2 outs in the moment.

There’s a screen shot floating around where Koz was on the bag when he gloved it and runner was only 1/2 way to first.

Immense amount of time to turn that play.

Oh well, I’m off the ledge and got it out. Looking at coaches out there behind TV feels like a Lemonis situation.

Not wasting anymore time on this game, it’s over.

This is what happens when people that don’t actually watch baseball get to comment after another Arkansas meltdown.

Go back to watching little league.

DVH feels like Ryan Day before 2024. He's done everything except win a natty. Still hurts to constantly come up short

The significance is to see names >> DVH with any semblance of a guarantee.

It doesn't exist.

This tells me all I need to know about most of the people on this board. You can’t go to the mound every batter. You have to pull the pitcher after the second mound visit of the inning. If you don’t even know basic rules maybe you shouldn’t share your opinions on a sport

There’s only one word. Loser.

As disappointing an end to the season is, loser is not a label I'd put on DVH.
50 wins, CWS final 4.
Yes, we'd like to win one, but we have a very successful program, one of the most respected in the nation.

Not sure if anyone else caught this, but in the bottom of the ninth after the error at first, Dave turned to an assistant and said “what do you wanna do?” He got an answer off screen and kind of shook his head and sucked his teeth like he disagreed with it.

Not what you wanna see from a head coach in that situation.
