What kind of houses do you find "attractive"? Shitty run of the mill one step above United Built Homes? You have to be pretty square to not think FJ houses are super cool and unique. Practical? No, but that isn't the point.

I just don't think they're anything special. They straddle a weird line between craftsman and modernism. They're stale-feeling to me. They remind me of just larger versions of standard ranch homes from the 70s for the most part.
As for what type of house I prefer, are my only two choices really E. Fay Jones vs United Built?
I like traditional architecture generally speaking, which limits my preference to pre-War or well-executed facsimiles. I even don't mind modernist homes, if they are thoughtful and clean-feeling.
