Yeah, its the blindingly obvious statement. But its another sign that Bielema is heading for the door, if he can fit through it. In this state the media rarely dares to say a word against the Hogs, when they begin to pile on its over.

Dropping bombs?
This has been the same story for 10 years with our defense. Minus the 2014 team that was covered by a BA defensive front and a disgusting linebacker in Spaight.

And when the Arkansas media turns on you... it gets ugly quick.

One of the greatest D-Coordinators of all time Jim Johnson once said if you can't get pressure with 4 you bring 5. If you can't get it with 5 bring 6. If you can't get it with 6 bring the house.
He believed in bringing some type of blitz on almost every down. We need this mentality.

Exactly...we bring 3 and still get beat deep

I like a blitz on every down from the 3-4. from somewhere on the field. otherwise you're basically in a dime package.

If you are going to run the 3-4 you need to mix up a package of blitzes with showing blitz and dropping back at the last moment. Keep people guessing on every down as to will you or won't be bringing the heat.
We go with the blitz a handful of times a game so that threat of are they coming or aren't they isn't there. If we blitzed more often and showed blitz before dropping back not only would it bring more pressure on the QB but it would make teams leery of trying to beat the blitz with a quick screen.
Right now we are, as you said, running a dime package that we blitz out of 5 or 6 times a game.

Certainly when bringing three gets little to no rush on QB.
In moving to the 3-4 from 4-3 we took a DL off so we have eight in pass coverage.
Still can’t get to QB or pressure with front and rarely bring exotic looks.
We accept and take whatever the offense is going to do to us.

I put the replay of the Coastal game on in the background while I was working yesterday and it was frustrating to hear the announcers just openly questioning how we couldn’t get any push on the youngest OL in CFB. Just add that to the list of many fireable offenses you can attribute to this staff now.

DL isn’t any good thanks to recruiting under Segrest outside of the Agim year with him, Capps, Guidry and Marshall but they also get no help in scheme.
It’s apparent how OL and DL coaching (and recruiting) changed post Partridge/Pittman.
Bielema replaced arguably the two most important foundations of his style and program with a FCS line coach because they nearly upset us and two assistant to the assistant NFL line coaches.
I’m so ready for a staff with SEC experience or ties to players in our region or area we recruit.

You basically hit the nail on the head here. This is the first thing Kirby focused on when he got to Georgia. He went right after Pittman and started recruiting offensive lineman from everywhere.
