as for 5* recruits We have never had as many 4* recruits as we have this year and you are bringing up wanting MOAR~... geeze louize

This class is pretty stout but we are still ranked #22 in composite rankings.

This isn't a complain about the class or Morris but rather the recruiting rankings themselves.

How can we recruit more 4 stars than ever and still land about the same spot we always land?

Since I was already on Rivals I decided just to see what "where we always land" actually was. From 2009, these have been our finishes on Rivals:

16th, 49th, 24th, 34th, 27th, 29th, 25th, 30th, 24th, 61st.

We are currently 18th. This would be the best class in a decade. That 16th rated class in 2009 also has a lower average rating than our current one at 3.29.

It's awesome having a coach who is a Razorback. A coach who loves The University of Arkansas and who wanted to be a Razorback - despite living in Missouri - since he was a kid. A coach whose family moved with him every step of the way and who helped him pursue his dream of being the Razorback head coach. Wish we had a version of DVH for football.

You had that, HDN!

Well duh! We have no choice in the SEC, just like every other program in the SEC does. It is at least one area of football where we compete, sadly!

Our choices were Gus Malzahn (LOL), Mike Leach (Aye Pirate), Lane Kiffen (Hello Ladies), and Greg Schiano (I Knew Nothing), and possibly a career DC, who doesn't want to leave until his son graduates.

We can argue all day long about who we should have hired, however... that is done, so lets give him the 3 years and see where we are then.

Nutt was not a Razorback. Playing for a season or two then bailing to Okie Lite is not a Razorback.

Not an alumnus or didn't finish his playing career here = not a Razorback

Nutt will always be a Okie Lite Cowboy though and Malzahn is a Reddie.

247 composite is the best method ---- it's fair and takes in all the recruiting sites.

We are 22nd in composite. We finished 22nd in 2015 and finish anywhere from 20-30 if you take out the outliers in 2010 and 2018.

anything that uses ESPN is not a great determiner of talent.
ESPN is terrible, doesn't evaluate talent in most states, and doesn't have enough staff to do so effectively.

Regardless of the method of ranking you choose, the outcome is still that this class is on the top end of Razorback recruiting coming off of the worst season in modern history. That's an amazing feat to me. Complaining about the coach's approach to what has by far been the most successful area of his job so far is barking up the wrong tree.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of this football program and Chad has done better than anyone in a long, long, long damn time.

Meh, he's had one good class and it's not even top 20 anymore on 24/7.

We should have beaten Ole Miss and CSU. Every other game ended the way it should have.

We lost to A&M and LSU by a TD each. I realize the LSU game wasn't as close as it appeared on the scoreboard, but the A&M game was definitely a winnable #5.

This legit makes zero sense.

People are complaining that he done a really shitty job at THE most important part of his job.

Winning games.

The state of texas does not have 50 5 stars. There is only 50 5 stars nationwide in most cases

Never beating a P5 team and going 2-10 is an amazing feat to the rest of us, whilst making 3MM dollars/year.

Then you should be sucking Morris' dick. He just signed the highest average star rating in Arkansas' history.

No need for reality shows to see what he is cooking.

It was unreal how many Arkansas fans were kissing his arse over this. I was always hearing how it supposedly was helping with recruiting. Lofl. It was completely irrelevant and didn't do shite for the program. Same with Jeff Long being on CFP committee. Did nothing for us at all, despite mouthbreathers loving the "coverage"

Sometimes publicity is just for the guy, not for us. Wonder if some of Chadillacs stunts are the same

I liked the idea of the show... until I watched it.

I was hoping for a coaches show --- something similar to what Bo eventually did with Bama.

Practices, film room, recruiting etc.

Showcase the facilities, get to know the staff that nobody hears about.

It ended up being Bielema buying coffee, talking about egg nog, shopping at neighborhood market, and cooking.
