Nope, not Catholic but hoping he's from a religion that allows some alcohol consumption. I did say I hope he wasn't Baptist.

not Baptist... and yes, I would allow.

Say three Hawgallleuia's and donate to the coach hiring fund (non gus) and you are forgiven.

Baptists can drink, and a lot do.

Do you know why some Baptists choose not to?

Nobody who claims to be a Christian should have an objection to alcohol based on the merits of the Bible.

Jesus's first miracle was turning water to wine
And that whole communion with God thing is describing a hallucinogenic high off the muscarine mushroom.

You didn't answer the question

Guessing it's because you don't know. Lol @ you bashing something you never took the time to figure out the why to. Wisdom isn't your forte I take it.

The answer is that there isn't a problem with the alcohol itself. In moderation it can be ok. The problem arises when alcohol affects your actions. It can cause actions that would not be seen as Christ like. So Baptists and other christians avoid alcohol, thereby lessening the chance that their actions will bring shame to God.

I didn't realize there was a question.

Eh. Doesn't make much difference to me, but if you wanna talk about what's "Christ like" and alcohol maybe you should take Jesus at his word when he referred to himself as a drunkard and a glutton.

They should worry less about the booze and more about spreading hate and greed as opposed to tolerance and helping the less fortunate.

Awwww Geeze, can we not do this petty stuff.

I will respond with respect and love.. at this point

I am a Christian, I have no problem with having a drink or 3... but when it determines your behavior rather than your own mentality and physical ability, it is an aberration to being a Christ Like individual.

I, do not go after those who choose otherwise other than to help those who desire it. I offer counseling, treatment options, and spiritual guidance only through the Bible. this is My choice and not something that should ever be forced on any human being. Forced religion isn't pure religion at all. Nor is forced tithing, or forced attendance, or forced anything. Our number one responsibility after becoming a Christian is to learn enough to help others both physically and spiritually. But you cant do the second, without showing care towards the first. Feed, clothe, aid in finding work, encourage, offer support because of our care for Christ.

Now, back to those free few drinks.
