warm weather team. terrible team that has a bad front office. drafted that terrible qb from Mizzou over mallett years ago and never surrounded him with anything. now has a QB that they took first round last year. basically brandon is a life back up here. terrible landing spot. would have rather seen him in Pittsburgh behind an old roethlisburger than the jags.
it doesn't matter even if brandon beats bortles out. the fact that he is a 1st round guy and has more money attached to him means they will give him 1000 chances before giving brandon the nod. this is an awful fit.

Can we all agree that hey have the worst helmet in the history of the NFL?
I just feel bad that he has to put that on.

Good spot for him, can be a servicable backup to Bortles.

I figure he'll be on the practice squad this year then they can sign him as a backup cheaper than what they pay Henne for the next several years

I just listened to thier people talk about brandon and they said that at that point in the draft that QB wasn't what they was looking for but on thier draft board he was sticking out so much (I'm assuming he high on thier draft board of QB's) that they couldn't not take him because of how much value they was getting out of him in the 6th round.
they said he was a guy they could develop into a great back up OR he could become a starter at some point.
said he was very intelligent, him being a coach's son, and his leadership that it was too good to let someone else get him.

I also think Jax is a decent spot for Brandon. He won't be asked to do too much or forced to into a spot that he may not be ready for.
If they look at him as a backup then he's likely good for a couple seasons on the roster to learn and lead the scout team and maybe create some trade value for himself or be ready in case of injury to Bortles.
By doing everything right like he typically does off the field (football wise), he could be a guy that sticks around the league for a bit by putting team first and doing all the dirty work with a smile. There's going to be a couple clubs that miss with their QB draft and FA and will be scrambling to find a QB, Brandon could be that guy in a few years.
