This football team's conference record since Petrino left is 11-42.

What the ever loving frick? That was 6 years ago. Wanna know who's fault this is? Take your pick, it's Petrino and/or Jeff Long.

Jeff Long could have just suspended him without pay for the whole season. He fired him and then enjoyed the positive publicity it got him. Hell, he even landed as the CFP chairman in its first season. All the while watching our football program turn to garbage. Don't forget that our Athletic Director wanted us to be more like Vandy than Bama. Long hurt the program the most.

BMFP would have walked before he would have been suspended for a season without pay. He’s a douche of the highest order

And, although Petrino and his debacle caused the beginning of this, if he had stayed … I believe it would have been worse. How could it be worse?

Just imagine that we kept him, and he did what he has done to Louisville. Even Bobby Petrino and his offensive genius failed there.

But here, he proved it could be done at Arkansas, was paid well and let go for obvious reasons. Other good coaches with decent morals would give us a try.

Look, I am grasping here, but... work with me please

Yeah what about 2012 makes anyone think we wouldn’t have turned in to what Louisville is now. We were clearly on the same track as what they’re seeing today.

Bert has earned his fair share of blame too. The root of this problem is still Petrino, though.

Not possible.

Football reasons: People tolerate an a-hole if the wins are coming in - you saw what the team was capable doing with a stand-in coach, and it wasn't great!

Legal reasons: he hired his side piece for a job and circumvented affirmative action and EEOC policies to do it. (Long was complicit in this too! He got the waiver, if I recall. Someone had to go.)
