Darnell Robinson WAS one of the best we've had, IMO. Probably right behind Oliver Miller and Bobby Portis, IMO.

I think this guy is better than any of them.

Of course we are gonna have to wait until conference play, but all I can say is that guy is a frickin nightmare from a defensive standpoint. And I wouldn't attempt a shot within 8 feet of him.

Despite the fact he played forward, Corliss was always in the paint, usually posted up against the other team's center. I'm assuming he's not included because you don't consider him a "big man" but I would disagree, and he would obviously head up this list.

Yes, I'm talking about the 5 spot players.

Corliss was obviously one of the best players to come through Arkansas, and he certainly is a "big man." I'm talking centers though. Arkansas has had a few really good centers too, and I think Gafford may be the best of the bunch.

Right now I would still have to go with

Oliver Miller
Bobby Portis

Gafford has only played in 3 college games, ill reserve judgement but he does appear to have the potential to end up in that conversation.

Joe Kleine was finishing up his playing career here when I was in kindergarten. Haha

I'm sure there have even been others that were better centers than Darnell. Just none that I remember watching.

The genius of Eddie Sutton was he could take a good big man and a good PG and play with anybody. The roll players new their part and bad shots where rare. This would get him through the lean years, remaining good even when the talent wasn't there.

If Eddie hadn't left we would not have had Nolan. We did alright in that coaching change.

He crashed and burned Kentucky after a few years and we flourished. I am OK with that.

You aren't old enough to even remember Sutton as anything other than the drunk coach of OSU
