I was thrilled to see Gafford only committed 3 fouls in a game the other day in which there were 60 free throw attempts.
Zebras were whistle happy and he stayed out of foul trouble. That needs to be the primary focus of his game moving forward. The rest of the shite he has under control.
I think Gafford could end up with an enormous game against Oklahoma.

Anton Beard is easily the most improved player on the game, IMO. And Barford is the second most improved, which is incredible considering he was our best player last year.
How about Gafford averaging about 17 points a game through his first three games and having 6 blocked shots? Wow

Also, I think I heard someone say the other day that Gafford's wingspan is like 7'3". Which means that he may still grow another inch or two.
With his athleticism and size he has a shot at being the #1 overall pick in the draft NEXT YEAR. I think we will look back on this kid as being the best player to ever wear a Hogs jersey.
There isn't going to be one single person in college basketball this year that can stop this kid. He is too long. All they have to do is clear out the paint and allow Gafford to stick an arm out. Nobody with enough size to stop him from getting the ball is going to be quick enough to keep from getting burned and dunked on.
I would also wager money that this guy will break Arkansas's single season blocked shots record.

I'd pump the breaks a little. Gafford will have to play pretty physical in the SEC and since he plays for Arkansas he will be in some foul trouble. He looks like he's going to be a great one, but way too early to tell.

I'd rather not pump the breaks. I know what I'm looking at. This kid is unreal.
His size and athleticism alone make him a first round pick. His ability to score points and block shots are going to make him a lottery pick.
People ask about whether he is as good as Portis or not, but the obvious answer is that he is. And that's not a knock on Portis at all. I think he is fantastic, but Gafford is more athletic and far more aggressive in the paint. He is a walking highlight reel.
Gafford is the best big man I've ever seen in a Hogs jersey already. Oliver Miller probably being the second best.

Geez, one great game against Fresno State and he’s the second coming of Christ...
I agree that he has tons of potential, but lets not put this much weight and expectations on him after only his third game.
Btw, Gafford and Portis are completely different players with totally different skillsets. We don’t even know how Gafford’s right hook is either.

You're absolutely right. Different players and different skill sets. I think Gafford has a more complete game.
As far as one good game goes, the guy is the second leading scorer on this team. He is averaging 17 a game. More than Macon. And he is averaging 2 blocked shots per game. I don't remember his rebounds, but I'm guessing it's around 10.
He even has multiple steals.

I remember when Darnell Robinson was going to be the best big man we ever had.
I'm impressed with Gafford so far. I'm going to wait and see how he does during the grind of the season and against a team like Kentucky.
