Not really. It's notable in the sense that based on what we had returning and the past production of incoming transfers, this offense wasn't supposed to suck. A step back was obviously expected, but no one thought it'd be this bad.
Having said that, the defense frustrates me more than the offense. We've already committed 22 errors in 26 games this season. We committed 37 in 65 games last year. With us not being able to swing ourselves to wins, that's gotta get cleaned up quickly.

Yeah I think we’ve had a steady run of elite defenses the last several years. And this year’s team is just meh to serviceable.
Not a good combo with our offense disappearing at a good clip.

DVH is a defensive wizard. He’ll clean that up. I feel like aloy probably isn’t spending much time taking batting practice. I bet they are trying to fix his woeful defensive skills right now and work on the batt later. This happens a lot with dvh teams. Guys defensive skill get much better while the batt fades over the season.
Last night Aloy saw 6 straight curveballs out of the zone and still managed to strikeout.
And lol at the lawyer commercial last night. Insurance lawyer going to war against a giant lizard, a milf in all white and a black guy in a red polo shirt.

Probably so. Interesting that unranked LSu has better odds at winning the college World Series than the number 4 ranked team. Some of that is the Dvh choke factor but there’s real issues with this team,

This is the final year of Dave's 5 year agreement in his 2021 extension. Each year after is a 1 year deal. Just sayin'

His buyout is pretty significant for baseball but with our booster support there I don't think it matters.

Personally I'd be shocked if anything happens until after 2027 at the absolute earliest. Unless the team just completely bottoms out PM style DVH will almost assuredly get to go out on his terms.

Yeah I don't think he'd retire this year under any scenario. Maybe completely missing the tournament and a ton of fan pressure but I don't see that happening. 3 seed bounced early in a regional like it feels it's trending that way, he's still coming back.
