The perfect example game of why this team may exit postseason play early.

Yeah i dont like our chances anymore. If we somehow make it to Omaha, we wont win a single game with the way we're playing offensively.
Not having any reliable lefty relievers outside Cronin is killing us and not being able to hit anything off speed.

Bullpen is the Achilles heel and hitting has cooled against legit pitching last four games.
Those games have not been at Baum though.

I know. Thats why i said if we get to Omaha, we wont win a single game at this rate. I hope playing in Baum will wake the bats up again and they can carry that momentum into Omaha if they actually do find it.

Has Kostyshock ever come through against top shelf competition ? It seems as though he just can't finish the 8th inning with out Cronin coming in to save his beanpole hiney. One more thing, if Fletcher doesn't stop this swinging for the parking lot in row Z every time he gets to bat his stock will plummet.

Well we’ve never hit lefties good this season and that’s what’s worried me. I think the problem is we will face a team either in one of the regionals or in Omaha who has a few solid lefties and we will be dead in the water. Our pitching staff just doesn’t have the stuff that can win a game for us. I have very little faith we can win a game with 3 runs or less. Which says a lot with how good our bats have been all year but eventually good pitching beats good hitting and we can’t win a single game against good team when our bats go dead

I agree. IMO, what we need to do is put Plunkett in the DH spot to add more righties to the line-up. I know Goodheart has hit well this season but he seems to be tailing off noticeably. Plunkett would give us a fresh look at the DH and more power. What do ya think ?

Yeah your talking about moving our 3 hole out of the lineup. He may not have a lot of pop but he’s hitting over .370. You don’t take him out of the lineup
