I'm up to three times a week, almost double the weight on most work outs, my arms feel like jello and its difficult to type.

I had jello arms this morning during the rolling push-ups: in a raised plank position, go down on one elbow, followed by the other. Then go back up into plank with one arm, then the other.

And to make it even worse, it's in the last circuit, so I'm already worn out. I think I got in 1 3/4 before I collapsed onto the floor.

i got legs to do today. legs have become my favorite workout day because i can actually do heavy weight. all my other weight days i stick to cardio, abs, lower back, fore arms, and calves. light weight

hoping it will be just another 2-3 weeks and i'll be able to do upper body exercises again after my injury heals up.

on a side note i got a vitamix blender for christmas and just now putting it to more use than making milkshakes on my off days. hadn't read the recipe book that came with it and had a buddy tell me about all you can make with it. so i been making fruit sorbet with different kinds of fruit for a few days now. its legit as hell. gonna make soup with it pretty soon. apparently it can heat up the soup as you mix it...

Been busy, busy a work n home. Jogged 2.65 miles this morning at a 9:42 min/mile LCD.

Been stress eating, up to 239lbs.

Need to get back on track.

checking in. I've been craaaaaaaaaazy busy lately. as usual

I hurt my hip/ball joint and I'm restricted on a lot of leg/core work. My dr has nixed running, jogging, mountain climbers, and burpees for now. I feel so out of shape not being able to do much of any cardio.

would hate if this happened to me. did your doctor rule out all cardio or just some? was just thinking that some cardio is less stressful on the joints such as pool work...

i've been loving being able to get back into doing cardio since my injury. got to where i can run 5 miles pretty easy. whereas before right after my injury when i started really running again it was really tough to knock it out. getting my core and calves stronger has helped a lot to. also eating a couple hours before i run makes all the difference in the world with having enough energy. i usually eat brown rice, walnuts, and water. then do my preworkout supplement 30-45 min prior to running.

I can walk.

Honestly, I'm scared right now of doing anything that could hurt me more. I'm feeling pretty good right now. I think I might try a fast walk/slow jog this evening.

i guess the bright side is I have been focusing more on my upper body.

I have been eating okay, but I haven't been fueling like I should be. I'm not AS hungry as often which tells me it's time to step things up. I never thought I would miss hunger pains.

5 workouts last week, and ate really well...gained 3 lbs!

Ok, I know I didn't really gain 3 pounds, but c'mon! It's soooo frustrating!

Weekly tip: while dining at Outback, have 3 350+ pounders within your line of vision. It will compel you to order the salmon and veggies.

solid advice

read this article today about what dwayne johnson went through to get ready to play hercules in his upcoming movie LINK
quote:

You've got to eat a lot to get that big, and by "a lot" we mean at least seven meals a day. That's right — the rest of us barely eat three, and Dwayne Johnson eats seven.

quote:

Believe it or not, Johnson would probably be eating seven meals a day even if he weren't preparing to play Hercules. According to AllStarWorkouts.com, eating seven times is just another part of his everyday workout: "The Rock eats seven times a day. His crazy diet is about getting enough protein to aid lean muscle growth. The key to the Rock Diet is that he consumes a lot of protein, fibrous carbs, and starchy vegetables. Nutrition is everything. The reason The Rock eats this way, is because it helps him lose weight and gain muscle." Diet AND exercise, people.

quote:

And here's an idea of what might be in six of those seven containers in the fridge:

Meal 1: 10 scrambled egg whites, 3 servings cream of rice or 1 cup oatmeal, 3 rice cakes, 24oz water
Meal 2: 6oz skinless grilled chicken breast, 1 cup grits, 6oz yams, 1 cup of steamed asparagus, 24oz water
Meal 3: 6oz tuna, 1 cup brown rice, 1 sliced cucumber, 24oz water
Meal 4: 6oz perch fillet, 1 cup barley, 6oz baked potato, 1 cup steamed green beans, 24oz water
Meal 5: 6oz pork tenderloin, 1 cup brown rice, 6oz sweet potato, 1 cup peas, 24oz water
Meal 6: 10 scrambled egg whites, 3 servings cream of rice or 1 cup oatmeal, 24oz water

And the seventh? Apparently that's between The Rock and his stomach.

gonna look into making my 6 meals a day more like this.

definitely want to add scrambled egg whites into it. used to drink egg whites raw a few years back. not the best tasting

NC- what kind of pre mixes are you taking? I have only been using one mix and I'm hitting a wall with it, it seems. Needs some ideas.

I'm using two pre workout supps right now. One for the days i do cardio and one i take when i do weights. The one i take on the days i do weights has creatine in it so you probably don't want to use it but it's Badass Labs Insane Pump.

The one i'm currently on for my cardio heats up my body core so i sweat more. It's N'Sane pre-workout. I really like it. But I've also used AdreNOlyn Cuts, which heats up your body core as well. They're both really good. It's really just a matter of preference. The AdreNOlyn Cuts comes in a form for women which is what you would need, it's called AdrenHERlyn Cuts.

Any of you have a juicer and done juicing? Bought one the other day to use for in between meals. It's not bad either. Haven't really tried any vegetables outside of carrots, tomatoes though. Done a lot of fruits.

Thanks. Googling AdrenHERlyn Cuts.

I'm definitely looking for one for weight days (arms/upper back), too.

Try Kale? I don't juice, but for my protein smoothies I throw in Kale. Can't taste it at all.

started working upper body again for the first time since my injury last week. only able to do light weight though. feels like i'm building the muscle back from scratch on the right side of my chest where the tear was. really weak right now on that side.

also started a new pro hormone cycle on the 11th. it's called Androgeddon. having to take a liver care supplement with it because its so stout it's got 5 different ingredients in it, whereas most other pro hormones have 2-3 ingredients. the last 2 pro hormones i've took only had 2 ingredients in it. hope taking this one will allow me to regain the strength i lost after the injury faster...
