Also, I’ve been burned on these prediction threads so I’m using a new strategy on this one: 16-15, 7-11

Hmm... I will give that a try. My "I have confidence you guys can do this" picks for football have been Bielemaed the last couple of years.

18-13, 9-9 in the conference.

My heart says something in the 24-25 win range, but for once I shall be the Debbie Downer and pick low... this should ensure that we make it to at at least the Elite Eight in the NCAAs.

I think this team is good for 27 wins. Maybe more.

The last time I was this impressed with a group of freshmen their names were Coliss WIlliamson and Scotty Thurman.

These guys are that good. The ONLY weaknesses I see are:

1) the lack of a pure 3 point shooter (although Macon, Beard and Barford can all make a zone honest, only Macon can reliably be counted on to knock down 50+% of his threes

2) Our big men are going to be very good, but one is a freshman and one (Trey) is only adequate. Teams with dominate and physical inside play will likely exploit that...the wild card is that our forwards are off the charts athletic and will make up for some of what we may give up inside. That said...Gafford will probably be the best big man the hogs have EVER had once he gets some experience. Let's hope we keep him a couple years.

We're really very good...and the team seems to want it. It shows up that they are now practicing against very good players. Speed of the game and intensity are very high at all times.

Get out and watch them play....Bud Walton is gonna be fun again!

Snake bite was 2-3 last night.

Just sayin'.

Not worried about the pure shooter piece.

Dusty was garbage down the stretch last year. People forget how bad his February and March were last year..

27 wins is asking a lot in the regular season that's 31 games.

I agree with your sentiments for the most part, but the above is pretty out there.

If I were a coach and I had a guy who made 50% from beyond the 3 point line I would order him to shoot 25 threes a game.

Even 35% is a damn good number for a three point shooter.

UNC will win, but if we see UNC in the 2nd round of PK80 we should smoke them. Though, anything is possible sometimes.

Gotta beat OU first, I really wish we would stop overlooking them and talking about playing UNC automatically. It would be very Arkansas for us to lose to OU and then play Portland instead. Trae Young was a McDonalds AA 5 star #4 overall PG in the '17 class, he went to OU and has back to back double doubles in their 2 games, he is a beast. Barford vs him will be legit.

We should beat OU yes, but if we lose to UNC...we may very well see our former coach in the losers game from the QF match.

UCONN vs Oregon
Mich State vs DePul

Winners play, we would play the loser. Should be Oregon vs Mich State, if we lose to UNC we play that loser. Altman would be fun to face.

they won by 11. They won in the final four minutes. Around the 5 minute mark it was still a 3 point game.
