I'd rather KJ run less, which reduces his risk of getting injured and missing play time. We have enough good rb's to utilize them and not force KJ to run.

I believe you and I both mentioned Enos immediately when considering Briles might go to Miss State (LOLZZZ) not realizing TCU was right behind.

I just hope Enos makes KJ a more rounded Qback with a few finesse passes, slants, etc to take the heat off a bit. Boy has been hurt 2 years in a row now at times.

I’d agree with that. If we can get more dynamic in the passing game then he should have more opportunities for open running lanes. He’s just such an asset in the north/south run game that I don’t want us to completely take it off the table.

KJ makes about 2 superhuman plays per game where he somehow shakes off of a defender who is draped all over him, just a unique player to try to tackle. I could see him feasting on the Enos bootlegs off of PA he did a lot his first time here. To me that's less likely to get him hurt than going 5-wide with the predictable KJ up the middle QB draw we used so much under Briles.

I agree with that too.

If he is as smart as I believe him to be, Enos will mesh some of what he did with Maryland and here.

Yes please....

If it clicks, we could see an incredible offense. I love his offense with Allen's as Qback.

If Bert could have kept the Oline going with Pittman, we had something brewing...

No argument here. Briles was gone and I'm not bitching that we couldn't keep him. Just see Enos as a clear step down.

What'll be really amusing is the melt if Enos bombs and Loggains turns out to be a stud at USCE.

I am not sure why this would be amusing to ya man. I would be pissed, but still not want him here.

He burned some bridges imho, on the way out...

Just not sure it'll be as effective.

As effective as 7-6, and not being able to score when it would put the game away?

Just have reservations about his overall planning and play calling.

But defended Briles, his planning and play calling, right?

Look at who teams go after. There's a reason we were able to get Enos pretty easily. There's also a reason teams regularly went after Briles. It's pretty easy to figure out.

Briles is one of the top OCs in the country. Enos is a more than serviceable replacement. There will be a drop off, to some degree, but not a Chad Morris level free fall.

Agreed. I’d rather cut down on the called runs in order to preserve his health.

I said going into 2022 that we were extremely lucky in 2021 for KJ to play all season, and that our season would again hinge on him staying healthy. Unfortunately our injury luck went the other way last year after being relatively unscathed in 2021 (Catalon part 1 aside).

Yes,'creativity' is useful, but 'execution' is a bigger factor in success.
