Regarding the cheating scandal unfolding before our eyes?

Someone mentioned something on the big board about 23 teams being caught up in this round of disclosures.

IMO Kentucky is gonna get caught up in this. I have a feeling the University is gonna end up happy that Anderson is their coach when all this is said and done.

Monk and no telling who else. But it's all but a fact that Kentucky bought Monk out from under us.

Really, more than any other team I want to see North Carolina go down. frickers.

The FBI isn't a farce.

It's gonna be interesting to see the Anderson haters navigate all of this.

Nobody “hates Anderson” on this board.

Statements like the above are why no poster takes you seriously on this board.

Also, navigate what? No matter what program crashes and burns, it still doesn’t change the fact Anderson has only been to the NCAAt 3 times in 8 years and has never made it to the 2nd weekend.

Zero fricks to give about anything you have to say, Hawgeye.

The haters words speak for themselves. In fact, they self identify as haters.

Go suck an egg.

It is kind of funny how many people used Will Wade as an example of how easy it is to be successful in basketball.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Mike Anderson's stock when Kentucky, Auburn, and LSU (at a minimum) end up firing their coaches and receiving NCAA sanctions.

Not likely, there are three schools that are clearly at the top with wiretappings among other things. If something happens, it will be Arizona, LSU and Kansas.

Hmm. I thought I read somewhere that there were like 23 schools that are gonna be caught up in this stuff.

Either way, we know Kentucky is crooked and I have my fingers crossed.

I'm sure there are that many that are implicated in some way but the three schools I listed stand out because they had their head coach on tape "making offers" for kids. Most coaches at schools get one of their assistants to be fall guys if something goes wrong.

At the end of the day I think the only coaches that are let go are Miller and Wade. Having said that, Miller should have been let go a long time ago. Arizona has already had to replace two assistant coaches.

Another important note is the FBI didn't subpoena Wade and Miller for the April trial, the defense did.

Louisville literally was running a prostitution ring and they're in the top 25.

Nothing is going to happen. Maybe a few coaches are gone but nothing major.

Yeah, I think that Louisville stuff was kinda like "so bad we better sweep this shite under the rug" sorta deal.

Soliciting prostitutes for underage kids? Providing them cocaine?

That's the kinda shite like Penn State got involved in. NCAA probably wants no part in that shite.

This stuff on the other hand? They're not gonna have a choice. All the violations are being laid bare by the FBI. I imagine the NCAA themselves could face consequences if this stuff doesn't get cleaned up.

NCAA isn’t going to do anything. To much money to be made to worry about the integrity of the game. If they cared about integrity UNC would be banned from postseason play for 5 years and every coached involved in the fake class game would show caused for a decade.

Cheat and Deny. That’s all you have to do.

I see people bringing up this example alot but it really was an unique situation. They were able to get away from punishment because those fake classes were offered to every student, not just athletes. Of course it is still shady and UNC knew what they were doing to get away with it but it was a very strange case.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if nothing happens but I think there are three possibilities.

1. Some Heah Coaches get slow clauses (Wade, Miller, etc)
2. Nothing really happens
3. Burn it all to the ground (all schools implicated get some type of punishments)

I really don't see 3 every happening and I think 1 is more likely than 2 but not by that much.
