Also paired us with LSU the first game in Omaha. That’s rough to have to face the other 2 betting favorites so early.

Making North Dakota St. travel instead of UALR as the 4

I mean I think it was technically the closest place for them

Nothing is a given, Tenn lost to Notre Dame two years ago. Wake is solid, swept Miami a tournament team and took 2 of 3 at FSU the #9 seed while winning their last 3 series.

Why does NDSU have such a shitty record??? Were they bad in their conference and just got hot?

Glad this matchup isn't in football.

Yeah they were 13-15 in the Summit. Everyone just assumed Oral Roberts would win it like usual.

To me Tennessee has a tough regional. If they win, I like our chances at home against them again.

Most curious to see who we start. Guessing Wood but wouldn't mind going with Cheese.

I assumed it would be Mac or Bybee.

They’re not a very good team…so DVH certainly has a chance to go bullpen game…but the risk is possibly burning a good reliever for the weekend.

Seems like Dave usually goes #2 starter regardless, SEMO was really bad last year and we still started Molina. Then we blew an 8-0 lead between him and Mac.

The question would be, who do we call our #2 right now?

Wood, Gaekle, or Beidelshcies?

I like Gaekle out of the pen. Beidelschies did well out of the pen against Tennessee.

DVH certainly has some decisions to make.

I would say Wood still is the #2 and it will be him, but could also see Cheese if we really want to gamble more and try to save Wood for games 2 and 3.

Hunter Hollan in 2023 also got hit like Molina last year so we don't have a great track record of pitching even vs these weaker 4 seeds. Not sure just how much you can gamble.

We are essentially playing a Portland or ULM from early in the season. Maybe start Cheese with a real short leash, while also planning on the offense to blow the doors open in the first 3-4 innings.

Yeah I would prefer Cheese and hope the offense can score at will.
