Early Season Letdowns at Plate
Nolan Souza: .071 (1H in 14AB's), 2BB's, 9 K's, .188 OB%
Rocco Peppi: .077 (1H in 13AB's), 2BB's, 2 K's, .294 OB%
Logan Maxwell: .154 (2H in 13AB's), 4BB's, 1 K, .333 OB%
Ryder Helfrick: .222 (4H in 18AB's), 5BB's, 7 K's, .391 OB%
Juston Thomas Jr.: .235 (4H in 17AB's), 8BB's, 6 K's, .500 OB%
Kendall Diggs: .235 (4H in 17AB's), 2BB's, 6 K's, .316 OB%
Charles Davalan: .250 (7H in 28AB's), 3BB's, 2 K's, .344 OB%

Thomas listed because of BA, but his OB% is tied for third on the team. He has 8 walks, but also has been hit by pitch twice. Helfrick is also near .400 OB% and has the most RBI's out of that bottom group listed above, with 3.

I think against the competition coming up, we will really see who the bottom of the barrel in this group is and who isn't.

The K rates that some of them have are concerning, and while we can say small sample sizes, the rates are in line with previous seasons

We have some soft teams coming up and all in Baum before we hit SEC play.

Should give players at the bottom some AB's to get their shite together before the conference grind.

I guess the next question would be, where do you see the lineup going?

Players who likely need to be every day...
W. Aloy - SS
K. Aloy - DH/RF
B. Iredale - 3B
C. Kozeal - 1B/2B
J. Thomas Jr. - LF/CF
R. Helfrick - C

But then what?

I would like to see more of Boles. Have him and K. Aloy swap at RF/DH for the time being.

Thomas becoming one of my favorites on this squad. Finds a way on base and is fast. Nice flash of power there.

K.Aloy now hitting .563

Kid needs to play every day.

Today was what the doctor ordered for some. For Souza, not so much.
