It’s less at bats…but Rowland has the highest OB% on the team.

Polk had the highest (or second highest) slugging % on the team until yesterday. Sample size is too small to discern anything at this point.

I think DVH is dubious about Rowland since he was emphatic in the offseason that addressing the catcher position was a priority.

Wood definitely seems to be going through a sophomore regression.

Just doesn’t seem to have a second pitch when opposing hitters are barreling up his fastball.

It's not being talked about enough, but McLaughlin has evolved into a really good defensive first baseman.

He digs well, but he's also been thrown off the bag a lot and has made some great swipe tags.

Dude can barrel up a baseball unlike Slavens.

Solid pick up for DVH.

5-2 Duke in the 5th still bases loaded, chance to really blow it open here with 1 out still. Hogs would take over #1 tomorrow.

Duke blows it open at Wake, 9-2 now. 9-7 now.

Hogs are better than Wake right now.

9-8

Fairhope, Al. reliever came in and shut that shite down.

No clue that he didn't get a look from a SEC school.

I don't care for this much. Rather just stay at 2.

Starting SEC play ranked #1 is pretty cool.

That's the 3rd Wake game I've watched this year and I'm not impressed. May be Hogs or LSU repeat.

I’ll update stats tomorrow in OP…but Hogs will enter opening SEC play week with a team .300 BA

Team BA was .248 after Arlington weekend.

Interesting nugget:

Through 14 games (1/4 of the regular season) the current staff is sitting at 201 K's. With some simple multiplication, they're on pace to have over 800 K's as a whole which would easily set the NCAA record all time wigich is 732 by the '72 Arizona State team in 70 games.

I'm sure they won't keep up at the current pace, but it'll be fun to watch as the season goes on.
