So we have to get either Vitello or Wes after dvh retires right?

Both are pipe dreams
All DVH needs to do is get a hitting coach and he can go for another 5 years.

I'm sick of watching teams in Omaha knock the cover off the baseball

After those, I would either go after Josh Elander or offer Hobbs and make sure he fires Nate

Lmao at Hobbs. He's about equal to Nate these days. I'm good on the guy that just had like 6 of our pitchers massively regress.

Hobbs did worse than Nate this year in my book, significantly more talent to work with and still sucked arse.

Wasn't Wilmsmeyer hitting around .300 at Methzoo?

Casey Martin and Bonfield ring a bell

The foul ball broke DVH

Wasn't Molina all Big 12 pitcher and couldn't go 2 innings?

Until DVH addresses the issues, he'll continue to cash a paycheck for a few years and ride off into the sunset.

That absolutely doesn't piss me off because he's earned that.

Mentally preparing myself for Kentucky, Tennessee, or Texas A&M to win their first CWS.

It would be awful if Tennessee wins it. It would mean Vitello isn't leaving Tennessee and would turn them into a monster. Dude is hungry and tenacious.

The aggies winning it would be bad as they are not good in any of the three major sports. Haven't won a football title since before WW2. Are terrible historically in basketball. Are decent in baseball.

If a basketball school like Kentucky wins it then it would be total BS as they don't care for baseball. First appearance and they win it all? The world must be coming to an end.

I don't want any of these jackass programs to win it, I want them to be as miserable as Arkansas. I want them all have that foul ball moment and melt. I don't root for any SEC teams especially the ones that haven't won anything.

None of the other teams have DVH as coach so Tennessee vs A&M is happening.

That is going to happen when you are under the stress of having to have a near perfect outing for your team to win. Going an entire season without any breakdowns when you get zero run support just isn't sustainable

What about last year? How many years in a row do you have to hear Hobbs or DVH say preseason how this is the best pitching staff ever and for it to end up either sucking or falling apart?

Hobbs has no business being mentioned to replace DVH as head coach any more than Thompson and for many of the same reasons. Both are far more overrated than anything else.

He didn't say that last year, he said deepest. When you consider the injuries they dealt with and what the results were it is pretty hard to argue that the staff wasn't the deepest he ever had. Off the top of my head Wiggins, Hollan, Frank, Tygart, and Carter all missed time. For a college team to deal with that and still have a respectable season is tough. Most teams that have that many injuries to their pitching staff don't even make the tournament.

Always an excuse. DVH said this preseason it was the best pitching staff he's ever had. Hobbs said last year it was the deepest. Both sucked and were mocked.

Also makes zero sense as an excuse for pitchers losing control because the offense was bad.

No, Will McEntyre didn't turn into an absolute dumpster fire because of the offense. No, Mason Molina wasn't utter dogshit for the last half of the year because of the offense. Hobbs was known at WF for a ton of injuries and an attack attack attack approach no nibbling be aggressive go right after them and not everyone is Hagen Smith to go do that. I wanted to puke hearing DVH say Hagen wore down even though they took an inning off him all year after Hobbs was applauded for getting Hagen stronger in the offseason. More horse shite.

There are fundamental coaching issues with both of his assistants. Neither of them are going anywhere until DVH retires.

Probably the biggest bust we've had lately. Very curious where ends up, was #35 overall prospect so I'd imagine plenty of big schools would still take a chance.

But if you can't crack the rotation with our worst OF ever then times up.
