Does he know Tygart's mom?

Has Jones not looked better in every facet of the game than Cali in the PT he's gotten so far this year? Doesn't seem like that crazy of a take to me.

Seems weird to want to bench a guy that is 3 for his last 6 with 2 HR a double, and 4 RBI. Especially when he is coming out of a slump and was recruited to be one of the teams main power threats. Nothing gets a persons head right like benching them right when they are starting to heat up

Where's that logic with Jones though? He did nothing but get on base and got benched for a dude who has 9x the strikeouts he does. Cali also has an error on the season and was lucky he wasn't given another today.

I understand the logic for playing Cali and I wouldn't go as far as to personally lobby for Jones to play right now, but I also think it's not some crazy notion to think Jones may have earned more of a look.

There was something DVH didn’t like about his last appearance. I don’t know if he swung through a sign or what, but Slavens has 2 starts at 3rd since the last time he played. I’d like to see him at least get some midweek swings in and see what he does.

I just think DVH feels like Cali has to contribute for this team to make a run so he gets the benefit of the doubt.

He also tends to go with the upperclassmen. I imagine Cali will have the longer leash all year.

Y’all 9 games into the season and Wegner is still slashing .424/.535/.909. Dude is a cheat code lol

His OPS is 1.444. I can't do that on MLB The Show on Xbox.

On the bright side, Jbuprofen and Stovall both batting well above .300 is a nice surprise, and Cali is slugging pretty well (6th on the team) despite starting the season in a huge slump.

On the downside, catcher is still a liability. Rowland is unequivocally better than Polk at the plate (.263 to .083), but neither are lighting the world on fire with their defense. Rowland is our best bet, but still a huge drop off thus far from the last few years of Turner and Optiz.

Did we ask him to leave? I figured he just left because he was mad that he didn’t play last year bc Michael Turner was better.

If he was going to be the starter, I don’t think he would have left.

Lol it’s early. He’s 5 for 17 on the season and is slugging lower than his OBP.

Not a good day for the Jones backers in this thread.

Got his shot at DH and did nothing.

Leach wasn't asked to leave.

His family members social media posts last year did the leaving for him.

I'm extremely worried about seeing him pitch against a lineup like LSU.

Exactly

In the meantime, Wegner is a stud
