Wood is a completely different pitcher when he comes in with runners on.

Was literally about to post this same thing.

Wood is a good reliever with a comfortable lead and nobody on. Conversely, he’s an absolute trainwreck in a leverage situation.

DVH needs his eyes checked if this is the deepest staff he's ever seen.

Meh, just because DVH said this is the deepest pitching staff he's had doesn't mean they can pitch.

Baseball is a long arse season.

I just want us playing with our hair on fire late in the season. I've learned enough by now to know I don't care a whole lot about early season woes.

Baseball is a cruel SOB. It only matters if you're hot at the right time. Just give me one natty in baseball and I can be happy.

Both Arkansas and Ole Miss in 2022 were emblematic of this.

We played like shite down the stretch, losing 3 of our last 5 series (including getting housed by a bad Bama squad), dropping a midweek to Missouri State, went 0-2 in Hoover, and pissed away hosting a regional. And we made Omaha and made it all the way to the semi.

Ole Miss very nearly fired Bianco mid-season. They were terrible, and had gone from #1 in the country early in the season to a bubble tourney team that shouldn't have even made it in. Then they proceeded to lose only 1 game in the entire postseason.

Baseball vs Illinois St. at 3pm SEC+

Zack Morris starts on the bump. Hopefully he can break out of the funk he's in

He can hit the ball for sure.
Another good rental player.

Can he hit SEC pitching remains to be seen.

a 28 minute inning?

I could S, S, and S and still catch the beginning of the 2nd inning!

Feels like DVH is trying to give Cali opportunities to get his confidence back at the plate.

That last AB didn't exactly inspire confidence.

Cali is such a head scratcher. If I heard Bubba right during one of the games in Texas, Cali was 15/28 with 17 RBI during the spring scrimmages.

Maybe that’s more of an indictment against our pitching though
