Lol. And now everything calming down and the previous statement of waiting on Beard to say no is back in effect. Marshall is just the name of the day apparently. We really won't know anything until Sunday at the earliest if Beard loses to MSU.

What has he done to prove he’s worth $5M? WSU overpaid to keep him, I understand why in their situation. You start throwing around “rounding error” money and get over $5M your pool of candidates opens up quite a bit of imagine.

Samson was never offered the job, he was told that there are a few others we must check out first. This didn't set well.
Samson has waited on UH to do one thing, have his son be the HCIW!
Marshall was definitely in contact in the past 48 hours, and beard is a pipe dream. One that may happen, but really?
Who in their right mind believes beard will come to Arkansas from where he was originally from TX.. and stay for any period of time whatsoever?
The one thing in all of this that has me confused is Musselman. What was in his background that threw a monkey wrench in this? Look deeply at his past, ex wife, etc and the "Me too" movement. Is this the smoke?

If somebody tells you that you could get Beard for 6, why not wait and check that first before you pay 5 to a guy that has lost 12 AAC games in the last two years.

My point is there is basically no difference in paying Gregg Marshall 3.7, 4 or 5 million dollars. He's overpriced but that is the market for him if we go after him.
The stakes get raised every season. Who cares what the price is, just commit to someone big and get it done.
