I am, too. I think he's the steal of the class (jmo). He's underrated.

I might be in the minority but I'd rather not cheat if that is what it takes.
Maybe "Uncommon" is code for "not on the take."

This is why Miles should be fired...he can't see his own weaknesses and adequately remedy them. How does he not offer a good looking in state QB. Why because he's not a 5 star dual threat prospect?? This is beyond idiotic to me, it seems LSU plays for recruiting titles and not actual titles...by damn if we can't get the #1 QB in the region we won't take anybod!. What a moron, it doesn't matter how many stars are on the team, you have to have a competent quarterback!

The last kid we offered that had been committed to UCA was Korliss Marshall. In Bert I trust.

this is probably up above somewhere and I missed it... however. It isn't happening.
Arkansas cornerback target Kristian Fulton said Arkansas still remains in the race for him, despite other reports.
Fulton, 6-0, 170 pounds of Metairie (La.) Rummel is expected to choose from Arkansas, LSU or Florida on Wednesday. ESPN rates him the No. 3 cornerback and No. 27 overall prospect in the nation.

Is Fulton 18 yet? I hope we don't have to have a parents signature. Says a lot when the athlete is contradicting what his own dad is telling reporters.

From the National Letter of Intent (NLI) webpage
Seem to remember this coming up with Collins as well.
quote:
Is it necessary for a parent or legal gardian to sign the NLI?
Yes. If you are under the age of 21, regardless of marital status, your parent or legal guardian must sign the NLI in order for it to be considered valid. If you are 21 years of age or older, it is not necessary for your parent or legal guardian to sign the document.

If I didn't know better, I would start a thread on the recruiting board asking if Fultons dad was gonna pull an Alex Collins mom

Korliss Marshall should have been offered way earlier. Kid had one of the most impressive highlight videos I've EVER seen. 16 minutes of 8 second long 80 yard touchdown runs.

I'm pretty sure he would have, had it been certain he would have had the grades. IIRC, that was the big concern all along.

What strikes me about this class is how balanced it is, that and the fact we red-shirted 15 players last year. That's how you build a solid program.

cleveland is releasing a top 2 today. I wouldn't count us out just yet. there are 2 conflicting gator reports. one that says it is only tcu, ark, with Florida high on the list. then some coach with Florida ties says arkansas isn't in it.

chesh reported that a few pages back:
quote:
According to an interview with Cleveland's OC, Arkansas has been eliminated and he's down to TCU, Florida and Houston. This is per the Florida rivals site.
if it really is a quote from his OC, seems to be a pretty solid source.

why would he be talking to his OC? he just got back. football is over and he is graduating. did he visit with his OC monday morning first thing and the OC do the interview on his lunch break? I'll wait til an arkansas source says we are eliminated. sounds like wishful thinking to me.

It is perplexing to me the trouble we have recruiting running backs. It seems like bielema is capable of producing at least 2 1k yard rushers a year with the possibility for a third sometimes.
in 4 years we've landed Collins, Rawleigh and Whaley.
the first 2 have proven to be excellent backs and Whaley is one of the best in the nation. I agree we should be higher up on the list for many of the 5* backs in the country every year, but i wouldnt call our RB recruiting effort troubling.

why would he be talking to his OC?
because most coaches are heavily involved in their players' recruitment and many times the players work closely with and reach out to the coaches for advice

It's easy to feel meh about this class but I'm pretty excited about Agim and Whaley.
As for RBs, I think Herb will have RWIII bulked up and ready to go next season. Herb puts a big emphasis on back and neck development for safety reasons.
I predict RWIII will return better than before and we'll be hearing about his injury every game a la Treadwell this year.
