Was curious if he might be at risk. He. Didn't play much Nd a juco needs to see the field to be worth the take.

McClure seems to be a wasted scholly too. 2x Juco AA and never got a snap

I can't imagine he is leaving three weeks in to the semester. It's too late to transfer anywhere now so at least give spring ball a shot before making that decision.

TQ is really short. Especially for a safety.

True. I sort of wondered this aloud shortly after the season since he didn't get much PT at all.

McClure was the biggest head scratcher of the last few classes for me. I had enormous hopes for him given that he was a monster at Butler and couldn't see the field this year, especially at a group where we ended up starting two freshmen.

It's scary to think that we had numerous safeties that couldn't beat out Bennett.

Listed at safety and was recruited as such.

Three terrible classes in a row, defensively at least, will do that to you.

You were probably thinking about Tavarres. Had high hopes for him too.

Sheesh, our JUCOs definitely underwhelmed this year. Tavarres is out, Coleman is likely out, and McClure and Spaight couldn't really get on the field.

ETA -- Whoops, I read your earlier post.

Yeah, they at least saw the field. Washington wasn't bad in his action at all. Neither was Spaight, but his 'underwhelming' seemed more associated with the fact that there was this hype surrounding him with "you got Spaighted" and all that after knocking Tate out in practice.

True, I was just gearing that more towards non-special teamers.

As good as SIH was he was still the 4th best punter in the SEC. It's pretty awesome being in a conference as good as we are.

We've taken some solid knocks but I'd rather get whipped by the best than lose close to Okie light, KState, Colorado, Texas, OU, Nebraska, etc

Didn't he redshirt? I know Bielema said that he needed to redshirt during one of his press conferences only to say that he had improved immensely a few weeks later. I think this was back in the spring.

Anthony Brown

I guess the word is that he has only played football for 2 years, but after watching his tape, I'm skeptical. I would think he's a definite redshirt, and possibly a jr,sr contributor.

What am I missing?

You're missing that those highlights are from his 1st year of playing football at Archbishop Carroll a very small school. This year he transferred to Killian. (they wear green and yellow uniforms)

This dude is a sleeper - there isn't much info on the internet about him but he could be a monster after a RS year and getting coaching.

Brown is one of the biggest under the radar sleepers of this entire recruiting year in football.

247 guys like JC Schurburtt, Barton Simmons, and Kipp Adams have all said the same thing about Brown, they all think he's a major sleeper.
