Yeah they finally posted it. Looks to be a big time back but has a lot of work before the NCAA is going to clear him.

What's the story on this guy? says he signed with VT. Did he get a release?

tweet I just saw on his 247 page said he didn't sign.

Said he signed in 2012. He is in prep school right now. So, I'm assuming it was a similar deal to Marquel Wade except he has re-opened his recruiting.

RD says it won't happen. RD knows what he's talking about. Oh well. At least I didn't get a chance to fap.

Yeah reading the article on 247 about it makes it sound like people got worked up over nothing.

From 247 on Shorter:
quote:
Newton (Texas) athlete Kevin Shorter has long had a top three of Arkansas, LSU and Texas A&M and the Top247 prospect kept changing his top school among the three.
He has gone a bit silent as of late though. He does say LSU is his leader at the moment but his offer from the Tigers is not likely a committable one at this point.
That leaves Arkansas and Texas A&M. The Aggies are working hard to get him on campus and like him as a running back.
However, Arkansas is the one to watch in this race. The Razorbacks signed athlete DJ Dean out of Newton in February and he and Shorter are very close. That could very well be the deciding factor in the end. The Razorbacks are also in very, very good position with Gonzalez (La.) East Ascension running back Sione Palelei.

I'm gonna do a little baseball recruiting update here for people who don't follow it.

I wish international players didn't sign with agents at 12 yrs old and teams at 16.
Could be some sick additions to college teams with DR/PR/Venezuelan/C.America talent. They'd never get eligible for college though most of the top prospects drop out of school and just play ball and work out when they should be entering High School.

Signed with VT out of HS in 2012. His school had changed some of the course descriptions which caused his transcript to get flagged by the NCAA. They said he was ineligible so he went prep school last year. They are still trying to work out everything with the NCAA and he is currently taking courses at a juco.

I agree with him on this one but this is no different than some of the articles he writes about prospects we have no shot with.

Yep. A decent portion of his articles are BS. You have to learn to pick the fluff out from the actual legit prospects.
The 4* LB prospect from Georgia with 20+ offers including UGA that "might" visit in the summer is never actually going to visit.
