Joshua Liddell looks like a really good athlete. Almost all of his highlights are of him playing on offense, though, so it's hard to get a feel for him as a safety. I'd kill for a couple of legit safeties.

If Liddell comes from the Liddell family I know (and I'm pretty sure he does), he comes from a great family. Both parents were/are band directors (not sure his dad is still teaching). They have several kids, one has really excelled as a musician.

As we know though, coming from a great family doesn't always mean you're going to be a great kid - but I have pretty high confidence that he is.

According to his highlight videos, he's an honors student and a National Air Guard Scholar Athlete. Also a finalist for the Landers Award, though I think that one is mostly athletics-based.

I can't remember, what's the deal with Craig Evans? Is he still deciding?

Haven't heard much lately, last I heard was Biddy or West (I believe) saying they thought that ship had sailed, and that was a good while back.

Partridge leaving certainly doesn't help the odds.
I would be very surprised and happy if he flipped, but sure not expecting it.

Yeah, Partridge leaving pretty much put us out of the running. It was already looking bad before that

Are we in a recruiting dead period right, and if so when does it end. I'm getting bored.

Update on Brian Wallace from Steve Wiltfong:

Steve Wiltfong 23105 posts
As you know I posted a Crystal Ball on Wallace for Alabama back on Dec. 19.

That was after speaking with two sources with knowledge of the situation telling me they thought the top four looked like it was Alabama, then Arkansas, then Iowa, then Missouri following his official visits.

Wallace is scheduled to announce his college decision at the US Army All-American Bowl on Jan, 4, but I actually thought there was a chance he was going to pull the trigger this past Sunday. That obviously didn't happen.

Yesterday, my same sources continue to indicate the top two remains the same, Crimson Tide and Razorbacks.

We'll have more from Wallace when he arrives in San Antonio. Has he made his final decision and just sitting on it till Saturday? Does he still have a few things to iron out? We'll see.

From Barton Simmons

quote:

Alabama commit Josh Frazier says that the Alabama coaches told him to work on Matt Elam this week.

lulz, Josh got the Bama offer to keep his arse on the bench behind Elam and Robinson and not on the field for us.

btw, Frazier was NOT picked for defensive player of the year by NWA Media, that went to Wary.

Frazier's final stats were 49 tackles and 5 sacks in 12 games. Top 100 stats fo' sho.

JC Shurburtt on Arkansas's chances with Thomas

"It's going to take a big push and he will have to be completely sold on Arkansas academically. Right now, Stanford or Ohio State IMHO. You never know what will happen once Texas gets a coach, either."
