Garrick will be on CBMFP's side. Garrick would probably tell us to go frick ourselves if we tried to fire one of his friends over this only to hire him to keep our programs momentum.

Garrick, nor Paul will have a chance at it. Jeff Long won't be thinking small if he has to replace Petrino.

I think that rumor is stemming from that bogus tweet but I could be wrong. At least I hope it is.

Completely theoretical, what big names do you think y'all go after if he does resign? If you're offering the same amount or more than Petrino made I would think you could land a very big name. I know we at least made calls to Chris Petersen and Chip Kelly but I have no idea how much money was on the table and obviously they didn't have much interest.

Definitely some interesting names in there. I was pissed we didn't look hard at Paul Rhoads. I don't see Petersen leaving Boise unless it's a top 3 or 4 job. With Shaw and Fitzgerald those are guys who are at their alma mater, not that it matters all that much these days.

He would be a huge hire. A lot of people in the oil industry, especially here in Houston, have said Patterson has an oil deal where he gets a percentage of well profits from the King family (of King Ranch fame). Several of them went to TCU and are in the oil industry. Some other Texas football insiders have suggested the same thing. It could easily be bs chatter though.
