All that from butthurt Miami fans trying to rationalize why he's leaning towards Arkansas

I'd say deff take what they say with a grain of salt. I mean hell, if all is as they say. And that much pressure was around him to go to Arkansas. Why didn't the recruiting guys pick up on it and lessen Miami's chances of getting him accordingly...

Apparently we're recruiting Mitchell as a QB.

He is going to get his chance to play QB. It is the only way they will get him to visit or sign. Who knows what will happen a year or 2 down the road.

For us I feel like the kids always just end up lost on the depth chart and never get moved to their natural position that everyone wanted them at while recruiting them hopefully the new staff changes this practice.

GT wanted him as QB, one of the recruiting sites guy rated him as the best QB in NJ, over a QB that is going to Miami.

It will be kinda funny if he comes and pans out at QB since Petrino was fascinated by the whole mobile QB thing and ended up with statues for QBs his whole time while here.

Really, every thing Petrino talked about or wanted, it seems CBB is making happen, so far in recruiting, lets hope it carries over to on the field results.

Bring him in and let him compete for the QB job. If he doesn't win the job get him on the field somewhere he can contribute.

Mitchell sounds like the sharp young man. Having to "settle" for a scholarship to get a degree from Rutgers, if he decides not to accept our offer, is not a bad deal.

Coach Ash offered him while at Wisconsin to play safety "To QB the Defense", so he is already aware of the possibility of a position change in the future.

Eric Thompson ?@_EricThompson Damon Mitchell on GT pulling offer if he visits "I would rather someone quit on me now than two years from now"

Austin Allen looks more like a strong safety to me. Plenty of room to add pounds to his frame maybe LB.

Quote of the morning, thus far, JoePa would be proud, ala Jim Kelly (in that he thought Kelly would be a great LB, Kelly obviously went to da U to play QB).

Is that a Dr. Pepper in his pocket?

The whole Collins story is great. It's hard to believe the kid only has 2 years of high school football experience and he's already this good. I'm really excited the direction Coach Big Balls has the program headed.

I hope this doesn't bite us in the butt with the Cogswell situation.

Nothing important.

Columbus High head coach says they plan to talk to Randy Shannon "soon" and figure out whether Lorenzo Woodley will be visiting, where he stands with Arkansas, etc.

If we don't, that could mean we've received a pledge from either Tenpenny or Collins already. Bielema's already had his in home visits with both, so I assume he knows exactly where he stands.
