I'm stoked about these assistants!
I was looking over OSU's commit list because I didn't see any in-state kids with OSU logos by their names. Yep Gundy hasn't gotten a single commit from Oklahoma.
Those poor Texas kids just don't know how much Stillwater sucks yet.
I was all for Gundy, but we really got a good one with Bielema, Gundy is a poor man's Bobby Petrino. He's lost most of his quality assistants over the last 2 years and is getting ate up at home by OU and us. OSU reminds me of how dependent we became on the TX pipeline, with the instability of the conference landscape OSU might find itself in a bad spot.
If we can strengthen our positioning in Texas with a couple rock solid dudes covering the Metroplex and Houston then re-staking our claim in Texarkana and east TX we'll be in great shape recruiting wise.

So you mean to tell me that a ground and pound big10 defensive minded coach gets a 4 star commit QB from out of state all the while all Petrino could during his tenure from out of state was 3 star projects?

Yea peaveys been committed for ahwile though. I think he committed to petrino and he just stayed committed even after petrino was let go, if I'm not mistaken..

He committed to JLS however he was going to be a Hog no matter the coach. His family has strong ties to the Hogs.

Should Bielema re-offer Jamel James he would likely commit with the hiring of Joel Thomas, who was recruiting him to Washington.

I think they're gonna close strong and swift on this class. Collins/Newby/Tenpenny; any of those 3 would be stellar, 2 of 3 would be a coup. If Pittman can pull the 2 Hawaii kids and his 6-10 OT from Colorado that'd be big time. If Partridge can pull Newton that'd be a good get too.
I'd like to see Korliss Marshall get a good look, but those 3 other RB's are money. KM might be a very, very good S or nickelback at the D1 level.
Wonder if we have any chance with some of these guys? Here's some top 250 guys I hope we have a chance at flipping.

He's got Alabama in his ear. All he needs to do is talk to Darius Philon when he's on campus to hear all the BS Bama spews while they're courting you.
Bama must offer about 1700 kids a year in the summer before their Jr. year.
