The staff has done an awesome job with Robinson in a short time. A few months ago, before we offered, the guys in the OM thread thought he was about to commit to them. He didn't and a few months and an Arkansas offer later here we are.

Hopefully Brett Weir can show something at TE during fall camp. I agree with CheshireHog, we need Skinner a JC, and hopefully Henry or another HS prospect that can block and catch. Where and the Frick is WP20!!???

Oh yeah, I always forget about Weir because you never hear about him. So we will actually have 3 scholarship TE's on the roster. Hopefully he can catch up to the speed of the game one day because he wmis a hell of an athlete.

?@DamonSayles
Talked with Torii Hunter at #TheOpening. Was in baseball mode, now in football mode. Has interest in #Huskers, #Irish, #Sooners & #Cowboys.

thats interesting. Thought we were in pretty good with him.

Idk the whole story here but the part that worries me is that it is usually the off the cuff statements that are more telling than their interviews with recruiting guys.

I think we're seeing the Petrino fallout's impact taking root. There were a good # of high level recruits that dropped us like a $2 whore as soon as BP was fired.

We went from Top 5 with a lot of guys to them commiting elsewhere or having a new top 5 in a matter of 30 days.

Tough to blame them. If I was a highly recruited guy I would definitely lose interest with the trainwreck of an offseason we have had. I think if our team pulls it together for the season and we hire a big time recruiting coach we'll be in the mix for a good recruiting class though. we have all this time to openly search we should hire our guy the soonest of the next round of coaches. Gives us more time to get kids to rethink their choices.

That's what I'm hoping for.

I think we can flip Christian Morgan, Colin Spencer, Tenpenny is a lost cause he seems like he can't wait to get out of Arkansas (can't blame him), I think have a real good shot at Hammons and Boyd.

Torii Hunter's kids might not be SEC level in football but I'd like to see em play baseball and strengthen our Pine Bluff connections, it seems like we've abandoned that part of the state like most everyone else has.

I wonder what a certain part of our fanbase would say if they saw this.

Paul Haynes @PaulHaynes1:
Got a great message at church from Pastor Ronnie Floyd- Cross Church"

I just made a long, time consuming post in the thread bashing our recruiting and the thread got deleted

I wonder why they would delete that and not any of the other blatantly obvious flame threads that get posted?

What was the message I wonder? I hope it has to do with recruiting and not salvation.

I've thought that for a long time. It certainly drags the site down.

Agreed. There is no way Crow Pie is not someone's alter. He has broke way more board rules than other people that have been banned for trolling.

This. I got banned for starting a thread that was in direct response to one of his flame threads and they didn't even take his down.

I don't really give a shite, and have never RA'd anyone, but he does get away with a lot of shite

RD says in his Sunday Tidbits that Mack Weaver 6-5 245 4.8 from Memphis Harding has Arkansas high on the list and we're recruiting him as a TE, while 1/2 the schools are looking at him as a DE.

Are we Hunter's favorite?

Don't think he's publicly named a 'favorite'.

We are still in it I think, along with Nebraska, Okie St. Notre Dame and West Virginia have offered, along with Miss. St., TCU, SMU, Arizona, Utah, Texas Tech and a few others.

He wants to play baseball in college as well, I understand, so that could play in our favor a little too.

I don't have any inside info on him, this is just what I've picked up on the 'net.
