I feel ashamed of what I just thought, forgiveness asked for....
But I saw the thread titled "Time to come together" and thought I clicked on it... but clicked on this one in stead. I thought we were supposed to jump off of a bridge together. I have to back out of this thread before I realized I clicked the wrong one.
Damn... I hope they are ok, but doubt it...

The guys "hold your head" reaction after they jump tells me it wasn't a pretty sight.

Lake hamilton bridge on the south side of the city, highway 7.
It is a pretty damn good drop and a heck of a swim to shore. The water is cold and swimming would not be easy fully clothed. People use to jump from the old bridge but it was a bit lower.
Only info I have is that the guy who filmed it was on his lunch break and noticed the people acting odd so he filmed it.

That’s what I was thinking—I sure wouldn’t want to jump off that bridge at any time of the year.
And on a totally unrelated note if you are truly from Story there is a high probability I know who you are.
Did you ever see a coyote living in an old house on 298 around Fannie?

Live right in the Washita area south of Story. Could chunk a rock really hard and hit the lake. Haven't seen the Coyote but have a abandon house by my place full of feral cats.
I use to do some mining in Hog Jaw... what a odd name for a town. I've seen your posts on here and just figured you used the town name because RAZORBACKS.
Until 4 years ago I lived my whole life by Degray on the golf course. Finally moved because its closer to work related stuff.

You are right about Hog Jaw and the Razorbacks although I’ve been to that community several times over the years. And I know the area you live in. South of there is the old dog show grounds along the lake (also a place for CB radio user gatherings back in the day) and in the old days that long straight stretch north of the Highway 27 bridge was a drag racing spot for young folks. That fishing village close to the bridge was known back then as Buddy’s Landing and was a hot spot for folks to swim.
That coyote was around about 20 years ago so by now he probably resides in the Reed Cemetary along with a lot of humans I used to know.
