There’s like 1-2 unanimous AA safeties every year, it’s not anymore rare than most other positions.

If you look at the all the unanimous AA that have made the HOF, the vast majority were 2 time AA (maybe not unanimous twice but they had 2 first team selections both years). It’s much harder to make it with just one unless that one year unless that one year featured a few awards as well.

Minkah should 100% get in as soon as his pro career ends.

The post-football requirement precludes this from happening.

But yeah, he should be in immediately upon eligibility in that regard.

All those I consider locks for the Hall of Fame.

Rolando McClain
Reuben Foster

All have a good chance to get in.

If you read all the requirements, you know McClain and Foster have absolutely zero chance of getting in. With their baggage, they'd probably have to find a vaccine for COVID to get in.

Which is why I think AJ McCarron will eventually make it into the College Football Hall of Fame. He was a 1st Team All-American in one major publication in 2013, a Maxwell Award winner, and a Heisman runner-up. He was also the starting QB on two national championship teams.
