Which Saban era players make the College Football Hall of Fame?

Remember the criteria the player has to meet to gain admittance into the Hall:
So guys like Julio Jones (who is probably a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame at this point) aren't eligible since they didn't make a major first team All-American list.
As of right now, I think there are (at least) four locks for induction in Atlanta:
- Mark Ingram (Heisman winner)
- Barrett Jones (2x 1st Team All-American, Outland & Remington winner)
- Derrick Henry (Heisman winner)
- Minkah Fitzpatrick (2x 1st Team All-American, Thorpe & Bednarik winner)
quote:
- A player must have received major first team All-America recognition.
- A player becomes eligible for consideration 10 years after his last year of intercollegiate football played.
- Football achievements are considered first, but the post-football record as a citizen is also weighed.
- Players must have played their last year of intercollegiate football within the last 50 years.
- The nominee must have ended his professional athletic career prior to the time of the nomination.

McCarron probably has a good shot if the two organizations that put him on their All American teams in 2013 qualify as major. They were the American Football Coaches Association and Walter Camp Foundation.
Honestly though, that part of the criteria for the CFBHOF is and always has been complete bullshite.

I'm pretty sure the Walter Camp AA list qualifies.

I’m guessing guy like Frank Tarkenton are in because this wasn’t a rule back then

In that case I think AJ should get in, but I will still be mildly surprised if he does.
Minkah should 100% get in as soon as his pro career ends. 2x consensus All American, won the Thorpe and Bednarik, and won two national championships.

I think Barrett will be the first in. He’s done professionally and will be eligible in 2022.
Ingram is eligible this year but will still be playing professionally for some time to come.

Mosley also has a chance. He was 2x consensus AA and won the Butkus

I think several Saban era players will get in.
Barrett Jones
Henry
Cooper
Mosley
Fitzpatrick
Cam Robinson
Andre Smith
Johnaton Allen
All those I consider locks for the Hall of Fame.
Ingram
McClain
Jeudy
AJ
Tua
Reuben Foster
Jonah Williams
All have a good chance to get in.
Barron and Clinton-Dix could get in, I think they both made an All-American team.
Saban has some of the best players in college football history play for him during his time at Bama.

CFHoF has character clauses that would keep McClain and Foster out.

I would switch Robinson and Ingram. Even if people feel Ingram’s Heisman is undeserved he still won. Multiple time AA and Heisman winners have pretty good chances or guys like Allen who won a slew of awards and even got some Heisman votes.

The College Football HOF is pissing me off. They don't list Wallace Wade as an inductee for Alabama anymore, just for Duke. Wade had his best years as the Bama coach.
I kind of understand why Clemson's Frank Howard & Navy's Don Whitmire is not counting for Bama now (even though Whitmire played for Bama for 2 years before transferring).
Howard made his HOF as a coach, not a player.

Yeah it says this which is most definitely not true. He was from Alabama from 1923-30 and his bio on that very site even says that.

I don't like this one. What if two of the greatest of all time play the same position in the same years?

Yep. I should have added him to my lock list. Minkah was just as accomplished on the defensive side of the ball as Barrett was on the offensive.

Landon was a unanimous All American. I'd say he's in since there aren't many unanimous safeties
