In 1966; upon going on KP I asked the mess sergeant if I could do something other than peeling potatoes. he replied : troop you will peel damned spuds and like it! ! I said ; I will peel them. if Hugh Freeze becomes our OC, I will still be a die hard Bama fan: I just won't like it!

When I went in the early 90's, we had a potato peeling machine.
But 1 day it broke down and I was told to peel potato's.
Unfortunately for them, they first asked me if I had any cuts on my hands. I showed them my hands and there weren't any. Then he said "Don't cut yourself". I said "Ok".
I cut myself on the 2nd potato and had to wipe tables the rest of the day.
I'd rather cut myself than deal with Freeze as OC.
