No. Nobody said Vandy might be a 10 win team.

If you actually watched the game and saw what you were looking at you’d know that it didn’t matter who the opponent was or how good they were. We were pathetic and the effort was unacceptable and unbecoming.

Idk how anybody can watch that game and say FSU is for sure going to lose to anybody.

I don’t think FSU is any better than 8-4 or 7-5.
Getting blown out by a lesser opponent is a Deboer trademark.
OU creamed Bama last year 24-3 only to get arse blasted by 4 TDs in Baton Rouge.

They only play Clemson, Miami, and Florida the rest of the year. Surely, theyll win 1/3 of those.

I’m gonna say they shot their load game 1. Gus Bus and co worked all spring and fall for this game.
I say they lose those plus one or two more. Likely Va Tech or somebody.

The only teams wirh a pulse on their schedule are Miami, Clemson, and Florida. I don't see where you're seeing 4-5 losses.

Improved or not, it shouldn't affect how we play or how we prepare.

I'm really wondering how many hours per day this coaching staff actually puts in at the office.

What's that saying? Something about the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Vandy could've been a fluke. But OU, Michigan and FSU are proving it to be the start of a trend

It’s a cream puff schedule but they are not going 10-2. They are an 8-4 squad at best.

Who are they losing to ? Miami and Clemson seem plausible. But Florida is absolutely beatable.

Even they go 0-fer vs Miami, Clemson, and Florida I doubt they lose to anyone else. So they go 9-3. Not a bad team.

They are improved but not to the level of great or elite. They are pretty good. But they didn’t have to do anything at all other than inside read and jet motion. We are very average unfortunately. Their QB threw one downfield pass, think about that. He isn’t a good passer. When he has to throw and it’s on the line they absolutely are going to lose. They are losing to Clemson, Miami and UF. Likely one out of the ordinary drop as well.

I spent the rest of my weekend watching all the other top 10 teams play and I can assure you based on the eye test we are not one of them.

Right. It makes people here feel better that Bama lost to a 9-3 or 10-2 FSU but this is 2024 Bama vs OU redux. That was a 6-6 OU squad. FSU is a mediocre team and they will lose at least one, maybe two of those games on paper they should win.
Gus is still Gus. He runs 50 or 60 scripted plays with all the motion and eye candy that everyone will figure out- they probably already have. Their QB is a midget and their O and D lines are average.

Did we not look slow and tentative or as Herbie put it, lethargic compared to Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Miami? They were flying around on defense and getting after people.
Our guys whole demeanor said they weren’t sure what they were doing, didn’t fully trust or believe in what they were doing and just generally flustered. What confidence they had is now shaken and we’re a blowout by UGA away from this team folding on Coach Winner at Life and mailing it in to the tune of a 4-8 record.

We didn’t just get beat because FSU made a few more big plays or we had a couple of turnovers. We got dominated up front. We lack toughness and we are soft. You can use and not look soft, but that isn’t what happened Saturday.
