He's probably a backup for the rest of his days at Bama.

It’s the same offense. Tailored to the personnel each season.

A dog and a duck can both quack. Doesn't mean there are two ducks.

Tailoring is a synonym for changing.

Which is a constant in college football.

I linked a quote from BOB a couple weeks ago in one of these threads (saying I wasn’t worried about hiring a new OC) where BOB straight out said it was not his offense but it was “Alabama’ offense”. Saban has said that numerous times too. They may be different in play calls , rhythm , preferences etc but it is the Alabama offense . That won’t change

OK, so he just got beat out? I was just wondering if injuries were a factor. He was damn good last year but this year he didn't play well early.

I get that to a degree but I don't totally buy it.

Last year's offense bears almost no resemblance to this year's. Last year was a power run game and play action. This year was back to RPO.

And look at the origin of our coordinators too. They all have roots in the Perkins-Erhardt system. Even those off the Carroll tree. It’s most likely any new OC will have ties to this system.

1. WR
2. TE
3. OC and OL coach

It’s still all in there for a coordinator to choose what is best for the QB. Tua and Bryce are better at RPOs than Mac . There were still a lot of slow developing pass plays called this year. It is never just RPOs only anyway . One reason we all look at it differently is the weapons we had while sark was here and we had plenty of time to run WRs all the way across the defense whereas this year at times it had to be gone quickly or Bryce would get killed
