So you have the wherewithal to create a successful game plan against top competition but if it’s just an average team, you mail it in? That’s laziness and it’s reprehensible.

Completely agree. That’s why I said he’s the most frustrating coach we have ever had.

Why didn't you include the rest of my post?...I'll do it for you...
" Besides, consistency falls into the psychological area of the game and it lands squarely on the coach's shoulders...it's not as much a problem in the pros."
Hell, it ain't hard to get kids up for the BIG games.

Because I didn’t want to comment on something I already commented on just a few posts prior. It’s the inconsistency that bothers me and is what should bother everyone on this board. It’s because of that that I want him gone. I’m not going to disagree with the obvious...

I don’t think you comprehend how elite Avery’s record against the top 25 is. And he’s been winning and competing in those games with mostly inferior talent. We could hire us a coach that gets us into the tournament every year and an occasional Sweet 16, but I’d be surprised if our next coach performs as well in those games.

I agree. Every serious Bama fans either wants Avery out or at very least realizes 1 NCAA bubble bid in 4 years certainly isn't cutting it.

However, I'm kind of allergic to the let's spin everything the guy has done without a single positive type sentiment.

That was kind of behind my overblown rant on Braxton Key who is really pretty much the exact same player for UVA that he was for us with the notable exception of never having to touch the ball on offense.

But ONLY if you have the right kind of kids...…….I don't believe Johnson is a great coach but I'm also not sold on the players. You can lead a blind horse to water but you can't make him drink.

...and who recruited them?

I'm confused. Are we talking about the quality of Avery's recruits or the fact that they play up to their potential against ranked opponents?
