Well I misspoke about what I meant about athleticism, what I was talking about was just pure hips and cutting ability and burst out of a change of direction.

Not counting anyone that we have not seen in live game action for us:

Then it is Eddie, Cyrus, Tony, Sylve. All other factors of athleticism and the order changes.

Anyone see Dillon Lee making some noise next year? I have always liked his hustle.

Is there another kicker coming in? Any chance that JK Scott has a sophomore slump?

Cyrus will play Corner.

From a talent perspective, the best Nickel may be EJ at Safety, TB and Cyrus at Corner, and MH at Star. Maybe you could switch Cyrus and MH in that situation, but in base Cyrus is definitely on the field.

I just see Cyrus as arenas at star. I think Saban has to put the best combo on the field. I don't think Humphrey will be ready or trained to play star. Cyrus started out there after his switch to DB and is cross trained there. Star is basically playing corner that blitzes more and is in coverage for a slot guy which I think Cyrus would do better with, with his size. Brown Humphrey and Sheffield on the edge corners could mean we finally don't get burnt deep anymore. Track stars. Brown got beat but on crossing routes and fades

I like this if you are talking about Thompson as the 7th DB. I would take the other 6 guys over him right now though. Saban might take Washington too.

IMO, the best 4 DBs could be Cyrus Jones, Tony Brown, Geno Smith and Hootie Jones. I am skeptical of Hootie, but the only other option is Washington. The 5th DB would be Marlon Humphrey playing boundary corner as Cyrus slots inside to Star. The 6th DB would likely be Eddie Jackson playing the CB/safety role.

In our secondary, I would like to see Cyrus Jones/ Tony Brown at corner and Eddie Jackson/Geno Smith at safety. With those four guys starting in a base setting it should be zero excuses for screw ups or miscommunication due to the playing experience. I think our D-Line will be studs and I hope Saban allows different personnel combos to keep teams guessing. At backer, I wouldn't mind seeing SDH(every down) and Foster/Lee in the middle, If Ragland leaves.
