Having seen a little bit of the NFL, I imagine Brady understands the concept of striking while the iron is hot. With Joe Burrow moving on, I do not see the iron being any hotter next year vs now.

I dont necessarily think they're Auburn 2010 but I do think they're UGA 2017.
They'll obviously regress but I think they'll stick around moreso than we'll think bubbling under the surface. All it will take is a couple lucky bounces and some frick ups by us and they're back in Atlanta

Orgeron is a great motivator and has learned to not mettle. As long as he keeps great assistants LSU will be competitive and very well may be elite.

No indication that Orgeron is building a program.
2018 class ranking: 15
2019 class ranking: 5
2020 class ranking: 5
2017 CFP ranking: 17
2018 CFP ranking: 11
2019 CFP ranking: 1
If that's not building a program, what would you call it?

Can special Ed keep his coaches together? The biggest recruit for this guy is the scheme maker.
Even at that, we are still in an age of offensive football that one elite QB can be enough to change the balance of power. I think about Deshaun Watson, Cam Newton, Joe Burrows, Trevor Lawrence, and our very own Tua Tagovailoa.
I get the feeling that LSU football is still not the machine it was under Les Miles. I don't believe he's a good enough head coach to win a title without one of these dynamic QBs. At least it doesn't feel that way yet.

I'm not really sure where its coming from that LSU's program was ever in need of a "rebuild." They had a string of 8 or 9 win seasons, sure, but they've ALWAYS been a good QB away from competing with the best teams in the country.
This year they had a GREAT QB, and then add in Joe Brady, and that is simply the difference.
Will they crumble after this season? Of course not.
Will they build some kind of "dynasty?" All depends on their QB recruiting, and how long Brady sticks around. Just going by what I've read from LSU posters on this site, there is a lot of skepticism about Brennan.
I personally doubt that they will come close to replicating this year's success next year, or the years following, but they will still be a tough out for any team they face, just like most years.

They have always been tough and have always recruited at an elite level. They were pretty lucky in finding diamond-in-the-rough Burrow and then they did an outstanding job developing him. It's going to depend on maintain the staff and making great hires. It's been difficult for Saban to recruit and keep a staff so I don't imagine Ed Ogeron will do a better job.
