Based on seeded entry times, we're supposed to finish 12th. Almost 2/3 of those points are relay points, so improvements or dropping spots shows up 2x as big as in individual swims. Makes it feel more like a team effort on where we end up Our top individual seed is avery wiseman in the 200 breaststroke, at 4th place. Cadence vincent is seeded to make finals in the 50 free, but 7th place is certainly not a free pass into a scoring swim at night, especially in that event. Razor thin margins, and everyone is racing for 2nd behind gretchen walsh

Ended up 12th in the 200 medley relay. Was seeded 8th. Added maybe a half second-ish from SECs, but it looks like most of it was via reaction times. I'd rather take 12th place points than busting going for 8th. Uva won by almost 2 full seconds, new ncaa record. We beat tennessee and auburn, so I'll take it.

So going into finals tonight we have cadence vincent sitting in the 6 spot in the 50 free and the 200 free relay is also seeded 6th, but there's no relay prelim swims... so we're not necessarily guaranteed any points there, but we're looking pretty good. Not many schools had 4 girls qualify in the 50 free. Waiting until 9pm eastern for this to start is the worst.

The Alabama men's tennis team (11-8, 3-7 SEC) secured a 4-3 victory over Kentucky (11-8, 4-5 SEC) on Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

Damien Nezar, Andrii Zimnokh and Filip Planinsek highlighted the match, going undefeated in the victory over the Wildcats.

Alabama won the doubles point but dropped the first singles match for a 1-1 tie early in the competition. The Crimson Tide would rattle off three straight singles wins from Damien Nezar, Andrii Zimnokh and Filip Planinsek, respectively, to win the match.

Alabama closed the final night of the Women's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with a trio of All-America performances to help advance to the team to a 15th-place finish.

Avery Wiseman and Cadence Vincent earned individual All-America honors on the final day of competition. Wiseman captured a ninth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke, while Vincent recorded a 10th-place finish in the 100 freestyle, as both swimmers notched Second Team All-America accolades.

Vincent would compete as the leadoff swimmer for the Tide's 400 freestyle relay as the UA sophomore, Kailyn Winter, Emily Jones and Diana Petkova combined for a 13th-place finish.

Alabama concluded competition in 15th-place with 65 points, bettering the team's performance from a year prior by 40 points (23rd place - 25 points).

Tonight is our biggest event in scoring all week, seeded 5th in the 800 free relay. Those 28 points are 40% more than you get for winning an individual event. The women only mustered 2/3 of our seeded points, so hopefully the guys do better than that. On paper we're looking at 15th, with 71 points, so tonight is a huge factor in how likely that will be. Unfortunately there's just not a lot a wiggle room to move up more than 1 spot in the 800 relay, but tons of space to fall. Charlie Hawke has been our bright spot last 4 years, saving us from total embarrassment, so hopefully his last meet will be a good one. He's seeded 7th in the 500 free (tomorrow) and 4th in the 200 on friday. Kaique Alves will be fighting for points in the 200 free as well, currently at the 14 seed. Leonardo Alcantara is a possible scorer on saturday in the 1650, sitting as the 16 seed... and the 400 free relay, also Saturday, is sitting as the 11 seed coming in. That's all our projected scoring swims. The 400 medley relay sits at 17th, so if they're clicking we can possibly steal some points there.

Holy hell, we got 4th top 2 teams (cal and texas) annihilated the ncaa record by over 2 seconds. Us, georgia, stanford, indiana, nc state, and uf were all racing for 3rd, 6 seconds back... but Toni Dragoja brought it home for us. We only shaved 0.2 seconds off our sec time, but was incredible watch of a race within a race. Uf would've also broke the ncaa record in 200 medley tonight, but false started by 0.06. We currently sit in 9th place. 0 mathematical chance that holds out, but great first night for our guys.

With a record-shattering performance, the Alabama 800 freestyle relay team captured a fourth-place finish on the opening night of the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships.

The fourth-place finish by Charlie Hawke, Kaique Alves, Tommy Hagar and Toni Dragoja marked the Tide's best-performance in the event since finishing eighth in 1990.

In addition to notching the Tide's first First Team All-America honor in 34 years, the quartet bettered its UA record by 18 hundredths of a second with a 6:06.59. Dragoja's 200 freestyle performance was the second-fastest by an anchor swimmer at the meet as he turned in a 1:31.06 to move UA from sixth to fourth place.

After the first night of competition, the Crimson Tide is in ninth place with 30 points.
