Planinsek, Martin Advance to Semifinals At ITA Southern Regionals
Filip Planinsek and Juan Martin led the Alabama men's tennis team at the ITA Southern Regionals at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn, Ala., Sunday as the UA duo earned a spot in Monday's semifinals.
Planinsek and Martin will compete for a spot in the finals on Monday at 11 a.m. CT as the duo face Samrakshyak Bajracharya and Ruan Du Preeze from Alabama State.

Loudmilla Bencheikh and Anne Marie Hiser will represent the Alabama women's tennis team in the doubles finals at the ITA Southern Regionals at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The UA duo posted a three-set win in the semifinals to earn a spot in the final match set for 10 a.m. CT Tuesday.

Alabama women's tennis partners Loudmilla Bencheikh and Anne Marie Hiser were named ITA Southern Regionals Doubles Champions Tuesday after the Crimson Tide duo won the final match in two sets.
Bencheikh and Hiser cruised to victory in the finals of the doubles draw against Kelsey Mize and Ludmila Kareisova from Ole Miss. The UA pair dropped three games in the opening set to go up 6-3 in the match. Capitalizing on the momentum, Bencheikh and Hiser put together a dominate 6-0 performance in the second set to clinch the match and win the regional title.

Men's Runner of the Week: Victor Kiprop, Alabama
Alabama's Victor Kiprop finished third in the men's 8-kilometer race out of 299 participants with a time of 22:54.80, leading the Crimson Tide to a ninth-place team finish among the stacked field at the Pre-National Invitational. Kiprop is one of just six men to ever run a sub-23 time over the 8-kilometer course at Apalachee Regional Park, with his 22:54.80 ranking fourth all-time.

The Crimson Tide will recognize McKinley Crone, Riley Mattingly and Kat Rogers prior to the game
Alabama soccer (8-7-1, 3-3-1 SEC) welcomes Kentucky (6-8-2, 0-7-0 SEC) to the Alabama Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. CT match Thursday night. Prior to the contest, as the Crimson Tide will recognize three athletes as part of its Senior Day celebration.

Alabama Swimming and Diving Travels to Birmingham This Friday for Its Road Opener
The Alabama men's and women's swimming and diving squads return to action this Friday at 3 p.m. CT at the Birmingham Crossplex where the Crimson Tide faces off against Birmingham Southern.
This will be the Tide's first road competition of the season after opening at home on Sept. 24 with wins against Delta State. It will be Birmingham Southern's second meet of the season, and first at home, after opening on the road with a tri-meet against West Florida and Emory.

Alabama Adds Four to Its 2022 Track and Field Roster
Alan De Falchi, Ulanda Lewis, Tarsis Orogot and Dane Roets have all signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Crimson Tide for the spring semester
The Alabama track and field team has added four to this year's roster, with Alan De Falchi, Ulanda Lewis, Tarsis Orogot and Dane Roets joining the Crimson Tide in January for the spring semester head coach Dan Waters announced this week.
With its latest additions, Alabama's list of newcomers now stands at 55, the largest combined class in Tide track and field history. That total includes 24 women and 31 men and is comprised of 17 transfer students and 38 true freshmen.
