Apparently Memphis pulled their offer to JD. That’s what their fans are saying

Jusaun Holt tweeted he’s committing Sep. 27

Kinda seems like Xavier is the favorite with us right after them.

Would love to have Holt as I think he's quite a bit underrated and would be a great fit for our system.

Other possibilities appear to be Georgia, Miami, Wake Forest and Washington.

Memphis rescinded their offer. Not gonna be them.

Someone told me the Memphis 247 guy said it but I haven’t looked for it myself

What the Hell is up with this PGU selling point for AU? I don’t understand it at all. Alabama isn’t claiming it and we have had back-to-back starting PGs become lottery picks...

Alabama has been known for putting 2 types of players in the league historically: PG's that can distribute and that goes WAAY back, at least 40 years. Guys like Colin, Hollywood Robinson, Ennis Whatley, and TR Dunn. And the other is athletic F/PF guys like Robert Horry, Gerald Wallace, and Antonio McDyess . Auburn can frick off with that PGU shite! I'm getting really tired of sweaty Bruce and his bullshite. Move on, ya greaseball!

Tomorrow we get the college decision of Carter Whitt. The four-star guard is currently a member of the 2021 class but could opt to enroll at school early.

Nebraska, Alabama, Indiana, were among the many involved.

Looks like Nebraska.

Hope he enjoys Hoiberg's wooden personality.

Dammit. Really wanted Whitt. Is the Nebraska pick a done deal or just the way things are trending?

Over the weekend in the Atlanta area there were plenty of evaluation settings. The Evaluation put on by JMix Tape Productions and the Georgia Elite Fall League each showcased prospects who have a chance to make some division I programs very happy.

Here is a look at some of the prospects who stood out.

quote:

Jusaun Holt – Playing at The Evaluation, Holt was tremendous when he was on the court. The 6-foot-6 wing has shown improvement this summer, and he again proved his versatility and shot making over the weekend. A good athlete who is a tremendous defender and rebounder, Holt is someone who can be a three-and-D guy in college at the beginning, and then as he develops his ball handling more offensive diversity could lead to him being a key contributor on a good team.

Schools Involved: Georgia, Alabama, Xavier, Miami, Washington

quote:

Scoota Henderson – One of the best long-term prospects in the class of 2022, Henderson is a big and athletic point guard who can get into the lane whenever he wants. With his size, strength and dynamic first step, Henderson is one of the most difficult players to defend off the bounce, and he is an absolute beast in transition. The biggest step for Henderson going forward will be to learn shot selection and play to his strengths.

Schools Involved: Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Louisville, Wake Forest and others

Ultimately, I see the race for Jusaun Holt coming down to three schools. Xavier has done a great job with the four-star forward. Holt’s former point guard, Dwon Odom, is at Xavier now and the Musketeers have built a strong relationship with the versatile wing over the past few years. If I had to favor anybody, I would give them the edge.

However, I would not want to rule out Alabama. Word lately is that the Crimson Tide are making this one very interesting, and if Holt were to decide to play in Tuscaloosa I wouldn’t be at all surprised. The third competitor here is Georgia, but in my estimation the Bulldogs may have a little work left to do if they want to land Holt.

Reminder that Holt is committing on Sunday.

I think he would be an excellent fit in our system - hope we get him.

Commitment date for Johnathan Lawson is officially set for October 7th. Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa State, Memphis, Oregon and Vanderbilt, make up his finalists. In addition, he could reclassify and enroll this January.

quote:

Lawson has grown to 6-foot-8, from 6-foot-6, this summer. Will now add more of a paint presence and perimeter defending to whatever program he joins. Very solid prospect.
